COUNTING CROWS PRIMED FOR THEIR FIRST AUSTRALIAN HEADLINE TOUR IN NINE YEARS
Following tickets for multi-platinum modern rock band COUNTING CROWS going on general sale today, their Sydney Opera House show has now sold out.
Due to overwhelming demand, Counting Crows and Live Nation are delighted to announce a second show at the Sydney Opera House on Wednesday April 10.

Multi-platinum modern rock band COUNTING CROWS have announced their long-awaited Australian theatre tour for 2013, their first national headline tour since 2004.
Following the April 2012 release of their first new album in more than four years, ‘Underwater Sunshine (Or What We Did On Our Summer Vacation)’, the American seven-piece head Down Under for a national tour beginning in Brisbane on March 27, and moving on to Melbourne, Perth and Adelaide, before winding up at Sydney’s iconic Opera House on April 9.
Tickets for all shows go on sale at 9am, Monday January 21.

With five studio albums, multiple live albums, a ‘best of’ album and soundtrack appearances, plus Grammy and Oscar nominations already under their collective belt, the Crows’ sixth studio album ‘Underwater Sunshine’ offers something of a different depth and inspired direction.
The album delivers 15 beautifully interpreted songs from the early 1960s up to 2012, honouring lesser-known tracks from a varied range of artists including: Gram Parsons, Bob Dylan, Big Star, The Faces, Teenage Fanclub, Travis and Kasey Anderson.
Formed in 1991 and hailing from the San Francisco Bay area, Counting Crows – Adam Duritz (vocals), Jim Bogios (drums), David Bryson (guitar), Charlie Gillingham (keyboards), David Immergluck (guitar), Millard Powers (bass) and Dan Vickrey (guitar) – burst into life with their 1993, seven-times platinum classic debut album ‘August and Everything After’, featuring the massive hit single ‘Mr Jones’.
The band most recently struck gold with the Shrek 2 soundtrack hit song ‘Accidentally In Love’ which was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Song, plus a Golden Globe for Best Original Song. Still thriving critically and commercially after 20 years, Counting Crows have sold more than 20 million albums worldwide.
