ATREYU Announce ”We Want Your Skulls” February 2024 Australian Tour

by

With a legacy spanning two and a half decades, billions of streams, chart topping releases and one of the most heralded live shows on the touring circuit, ATREYU remains as one of the most respected names and potent forces in heavy music.

Where once the band were heralded as the early innovators of the nascent metalcore scene, their place in heavy music’s diverse and boundary-breaking scene has never felt more relevant drawing from inspirations of pop-punk, hardcore, thrash, ‘80s rock and more melding into a unique and varied sound in an increasingly genreless world.

The band now returns to Australia for the first time since early 2020 armed with a catalogue of anthems together with plenty of new music in 2021’s Baptise album as well as two EPs released so far in 2023 in The Hope Of A Spark and The Moment You Find Your Flame.

The new music marks the beginning of the next chapter in the band’s story, and the tantalisingly promise of what the future holds.

“These songs are the culmination of our entire artistic endeavours,” bassist/vocalist Porter McKnight attests. “It’s everything we’ve learned as humans, everything we’ve ingested as musicians, and everything we’ve experienced in this lifetime. It is ATREYU unleashed.”

If their pre pandemic sold out Australian shows were anything to go by, fans can expect an unforgettable high octane show and a masterclass in metal showmanship.

National support comes from Melbourne quartet Bad/Love who join the tour armed with their latest release Mono No Aware Part II.
