DEAD LETTER CIRCUS announce STRANGERS as tour support, update on new music

by

After 10 years on the road, three groundbreaking albums and multiple ARIA nominations, Dead Letter Circus are not the band they were at the beginning. They are a band at their peak… and ‘The Endless Mile’ Tour is a celebration of their utterly remarkable story.

Dead Letter Circus’ ‘The Endless Mile’ Tour will celebrate the band’s much-loved debut EP’s tenth birthday and all of their mates – long-term and new-found – are invited! Kim Benzie, vocalist for Dead Letter Circus, is today sharing some words with the world about the re-imagined take on the EP tracks and more that punters will experience at the shows.

“We’re just about to wrap on recording our 12 track Re-imagined Album, which includes all the tracks from our debut EP and some handpicked faves. The new versions of the songs are sounding a tad EPIC and we’re hanging to play ’em all for you in March. We’re stoked to announce that ‘Strangers’ will also be joining us in acoustic mode around Oz.”

DLC – whose original conquest a decade ago was to create a new sound are about to prove yet again why they are one of Australia’s best & most artistically fearless bands. DLC will be releasing a 12-track album containing the Re-imagined EP tracks plus a handful of songs from the bands extensive career that will be available in May 2017.

‘The Endless Mile’ Tour is on sale now at deadlettercircus.com, with two new Western Australia dates now added!

Joining the Brissy boys for the whole run of shows will be Melbourne-via-Cronulla lads, Strangers. The guys have been busy of late, on the road with Birds of Tokyo, releasing their triple j-rotation single Mirrorland and with a new album in the pipeline. Strangers will be following suit with DLC on this tour, presenting their new tunes and back catalogue in Acoustic form.

Re-imagining the EP as well as tracks from their extensive back catalogue to honour its anniversary, Dead Letter Circus will be playing the iconic tracks with a unique new interpretation in Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, Bunbury and Perth in March. By no means the first time Dead Letter Circus have stretched the creative boundaries of their own work, The Endless Mile is in part a response to fan demand from the success of DLC’s 2014 Re-imagined tour.
