Brandon Flowers has confirmed he will release his new album, The Desired Effect, on May 19th, 2015 on Island Records. Almost five years since the release of his critically acclaimed solo debut, Flamingo, Flowers’ solo return follows a time of continued huge success with his band The Killers, who released the global chart-topping album Battle Born in 2012, as well as the greatest hits collection Direct Hits in 2013, selling out the likes of Wembley Stadium and Madison Square Garden while continuing to headline major festivals around the world. The release of The Desired Effect will be preceded by a smattering of club shows and select festival dates further into the spring, the first of which will happen at New York City’s Webster Hall on March 24th, 2015.

As Flowers announced in a hand-written note via www.brandonflowersmusic.com earlier this week, he has been working with the producer Ariel Rechtshaid (Haim, Vampire Weekend, Charlie XCX), with recording taking place at The Killers’ own Battle Born studios in Las Vegas.

The first single from The Desired Effect, “Can’t Deny My Love,” will be released on March 23rd, 2015. Until then, fans should keep a sharp eye on www.brandonflowersmusic.com and on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram for further details and sneak peeks into the record.
