Four of Australia’s most promising bands – Highways, The Monster Goes Rawrr, Breakaway and Brightener – are getting together for one special show at Sydneys Lie At The Brewhouse in Darling Harbour on Saturday December 8.

Forming in 2011, Sydney pop-punk band HIGHWAYS has quickly gained momentum with high-profile supports for artists like Tonight Alive, Heroes For Hire and Hands Like Houses.

Consisting of siblings Josh (drums) and Sarah (vocals) Buckley and guitarists Kerrod Willams and Nick Laurie and bassist Ed Wardle, the five-piece are about to release their second EP following up debut EP, “Enjoy the Little Things”, which was released for free via their Facebook page.  The band’s new EP is titled “Us Against The World” (due for release November 1) and features the new single “Hero” currently available on iTunes.

For Brisbane powerpop, rock, dance, trance and electronica band THE MONSTER GOES RAWRR, this show marks the launch of their new EP titled “The Walk Of Game” which will be released on December 12 (12/12/12).  This will be the bands first new recordings since their 2011 self-titled release. ??Having formed in mid-2009, THE MONSTER GOES RAWRR has already made waves in the local music scene, supporting US electro heavyweights 3OH!3, UK rockers You Me At Six and Kids In Glass Houses, Texan popster The Secret Handshake and Aussie ex-pats Closure In Moscow.

Sydney pop-rockers BREAKAWAY are fast on the rise having just released their debut EP “One Minute One Moment”.  The EP features single “Here I Am” which peaked at number 9 on the Triple J Unearthed Pop Charts.

BRIGHTENER is a five-piece pop punk/alt rock act from the Northern Beaches of Sydney. Since coming together in the middle of 2012, this young band has turned heads, filled ears and grown a fan base with its own brand of pro-love, anti-hate and optimism-inspring music. Peforming with bands such as The Sweet Apes and good friends Forever Ends Here, BRIGHTENER is striving to put as much positive energy into their performances as their songs.
