Foals announce new album

With two UK top 10 albums already under their belt, Oxford five-piece Foals prepare to return with their third and most exhilarating album yet.  Holy Fire and is due for release in Australia on Friday 8 February.

 Foals have described the Holy Fire as ‘dirtier, swampier, and more booty shaking’ than the last. The album was recorded by prestigious production duo Flood & Moulder (Smashing Pumpkins, PJ Harvey, Nine Inch Nails, and The Killers) at Assault and Battery studios in London.

Foals were nominated for a Mercury Prize for their previous album Total Life Forever.  At the 2011 NME awards they won ‘Best Single’ for Spanish Sahara and were nominated for four other awards including ‘Best British Band’, ‘Best Live Band’ and ‘Best Album’  They were also nominated for ‘Best Song’ for Spanish Sahara at the 2011 Ivor Novello Awards.

The UK outfit is set to bring their fierce and frantic live set to Australia in January to perform at the Big Day Out nationally.  Foals have also announced a one-off headline show at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory on Wednesday 23 January where they will debut new material from their much anticipated new album.
