Torpedohead release new single “Rotten Radio” through ‘Hard Rock Nights’

by

Torpedohead will showcase their new single “Rotten Radio” exclusively on “Hard Rock Nights” www.hardrocknights.com, a weekly syndicated rock n’ roll program heard around the world and hosted by acclaimed host Brian Basher. The song will run on the show the first two weeks of March followed by the release of an accompanying video and the world-wide digital single-release of  “Rotten Radio” end of March. The single is the first preview from Torpedohead’s upcoming second album “Greetings From Heartbreak Key” set to be released later this year.

Torpedohead is the rock n’ roll process of supersonic combustion in which a shock wave from razorsharp riffs is propagated forward due to energy release in a reaction zone behind it. The trio lives the imagination of the New York Dolls jamming on Cheap Trick tunes, while transforming this into their own modern rock sound.

Since Torpedohead hit the stage the first time in 2008, the band  has been giging relentless in Germany and other European countries, supporting international rock acts such as the legendary New York Dolls, Peter Pan Speedrock, Dan Baird, Prima Donna among others. 2009 saw Torpedohead hit the streets with their debut Album “Lovesick avenue”. Filled with roaring rock n’ roll riffs the Album received raving reviews in the press (Germany, UK, Canada, Italy, France) and several webzines. In 2010 Torpedohead set up their home at the famous Woodhouse Studios in Germany to record the 5 Track EP “Let’s go for a ride” with producer Siggi Bemm (Kreator, Lacuna Coil). The release along with the Video/Single of “Cadillac Beach” again kickstarted an avalange of great reviews in the press and left fans screaming for more. Wasting no time the trio returned to the Woodhouse studio shortly afterwards to record their new album “Greetings from heartbreak key”, set for release in 2012.

“It’s like a party tape for people who plan on burning the house down as soon as the party is over!” (Classic Rock Magazine / UK)
