The Sydney Rock ‘n’ Roll & Alternative re-opens for 2013 at Manning House and Manning Bar, Sydney University on Sunday 3 February.

The Sydney Rock ‘n’ Roll & Alternative Market is the Ultimate Subculture Market with a multitude of amazing live music culture related stalls extending over 3 levels indoors and outdoors. The market features Rock ‘n’ Roll, Alternative and Vintage Fashion for men, women and children, Jewellery,  Accessories, Record’s, CD’s, DVDs , Books, Art, Collectables, Food stalls, children’s activities, live music, DJs, a classic vehicle display, the very popular Tiki Bar Courtyard (featuring Corona Beer, Sailor Jerry Rum, international food, DJs) and loads more.

A massive entertainment line-up features a rare appearance in Sydney from Adelaide Rockabilly greats The Satellites, Canberra’s punk/rock/ska/reggae sensations Los Capitanes, Melbourne Paddy Rockers The Ramshackle Army, and Sydney’s own Big Blind Ray Trio with their blend of Blues, Southern Rock, Gospel and Soul. With DJs Brian, Rod Almighty, the Rockabilly Rhino and the Crimplenes and MCs Wolfman Dan & the Rockabilly Rhino.

Wild, cool & crazy the Satellites play rock ‘n’ roll in its rawest form. They have been voted ‘Australia’s Best Rockabilly Band’ (Wintersun Festival) and have appeared at countless festivals (in Australia and Overseas) and with many touring greats. The Ramshackle Army’s upcoming appearance at the Sydney Rock ‘n’ Roll & Alternative Market is the last chance to see them before their March tour, after which they’re heading into the bunker to record their first release since their debut EP Life Lessons and Drunken Sessions. They’ve also just been announced on the lineup for the legendary Port Fairy Folk Festival.
