Will Remedy is the principal songwriter and leader of American-Rock outfit Good Will Remedy – Will Remedy & The Influencers represents a labour of love for Will, one that allows him to explore the more Indy rock side of his songwriting. First single “Initials” sees Will channel Elvis Costello and post punk type influences – whilst the production by Jason Millhouse ads a raw energy that encapsulates an honest, Rock N Roll vibe.
On the video…“So, I went in to do a photoshoot and came out with a video!” Will adds, “I was hoping to get some short video snippets for promo and it all stitched together pretty well – added a few extra story bits, got Rob (drummer) and Jase (Engineer/Guitar) to do a bit and it was done – almost painless!”.
On the project Will ads – “I have always listened to Indy rock; I played in a lot of bands early in my career that were in that genre, and I find myself writing a lot in that style so I just thought – well why not get a project together to get some of that stuff down and have a bit of fun.”
Will has recruited long term rhythm section partner and Good Will Remedy drummer Rob Penman as one of the ‘influencers’ whilst the guitar on ‘Initials’ was recorded by Engineer/Producer Jason Millhouse. “With the exception of Rob – I am hoping that The Influencers are a fluid bunch of artists that I can work with, artists that I have admired from afar for so long – it’s quite exciting and just great fun.”
The official video for Initials is scheduled to be launched October 3rd but you can see it here first!
