Their hits have defined the sound of a generation. For nearly three decades they’ve been the voice of the underdogs, the dreamers, and the outsiders who found an anthem in every chorus. Untitled Group is beyond thrilled to announce multi-platinum rock royalty, Good Charlotte, will return to Australia in February, 2026 for the Motel Du Cap World Tour, marking their first shows down under in eight years and the first shows announced on their epic world tour!

The Motel Du Cap World Tour celebrates the release of their highly-anticipated eighth studio album of the same name, a record that captures the rawness of their early years with the authority of artists that have conquered global stages. Each show will be a high-octane celebration of the new album and a nostalgic trip through the anthems that changed the face of alternative culture like ‘Lifestyles of the Rich & the Famous,’ ‘The Anthem,’ ‘Little Things,’ ‘I Just Wanna Live’ and so many more.
“Australia is such a special place to Good Charlotte and to me personally, it feels like a home away from home in many ways, and we can’t wait to head back there for some big shows. It’s been far too long since we’ve spent time with our Aussie fans, we’re all in for a big treat,” says Joel Madden.
Joining Good Charlotte across their Australian and New Zealand show are beloved American pop-punk, alt-rock royalty Yellowcard. After flooding the 2000’s with global hits like ‘Ocean Avenue’, ‘Only One’ and ‘Breathing’, Yellowcard announced they were calling it quits in 2016. But almost a decade on, their story wasn’t complete – legacy cracked the door and healing blew it wide open. In May this year the band released their most ambitious and emotionally resonant record of their career – Better Days – produced by blink-182’s Travis Barker, who also played drums on every track. Better Days is Yellowcard’s testimony that healing is a process, growth is nonlinear, and sometimes the best chapter opens after the supposed ending. This isn’t just a return. It’s a reckoning. And this time, Yellowcard is ready.
Treasured Australian alt-rockers, Kisschasy, will open for Good Charlotte across all Australian dates on the Motel Du Cap Tour. After emerging from the suburbs of Melbourne in 2002 with tracks like ‘Hey Jelousy’, ‘Do-Do’s And Whoa-Ohs’ and ‘Opinions Won’t Keep You Warm At Night’, Kisschasy’s rise was meteoric. They disbanded in 2015, much to the chagrin of their dedicated fanbase but reformed for Good Things festival in 2022 – it was clear that Kisschasy had unfinished business to tend to. Finally, in May 2025, that question was answered. In parallel with the vinyl reissue of Hymns For the Nonbeliever (which re-entered the Aus Album and Vinyl charts at #1), Kisschasy dropped ‘Lie To Me’, offering a modern edge to the band’s trademark sound. Rumours of a full-length LP are swirling but there’s one thing we can be 100% sure of: Kisschasy are back and they have plenty to say.
Good Charlotte – twin brothers Joel Madden (vocals) and Benji Madden (guitar, vocals), alongside Paul Thomas (bass), and Billy Martin (guitar, keyboards) – have cemented their place as one of the most enduring and influential bands of their generation. In Australia alone, they’ve achieved multi-platinum sales, six albums in the ARIA Top 25, with two cracking the Top 5 – #3 Cardiology (2010), #5 Good Morning Revival (2007) – and two #1 ARIA chart-toppers – Chronicle of Life And Death (2004), and Youth Authority (2016). As well as 12 singles in the ARIA Top 40. With Motel Du Cap, the band have tapped into a serendipitous moment, creating their most honest and anthemic body of work since their early days.
Seven years since their last album (Generation X, 2018), and following a band hiatus to focus on other projects, the spark for Motel Du Cap was ignited when the band played a private gig at the iconic Hotel du Cap in France for a friend’s wedding in 2022. The surreal beauty of the venue, the raw emotion of the occasion, and the freedom of performing without expectations lit a fire under the Madden brothers. It was the night that breathed life into the new album, a record honoring the beauty of simplicity and letting the music take centre stage.
Their last tour of Australia was in 2018 for the Download Festival in Melbourne, where they also treated fans in Brisbane and Sydney to infectious live shows. Known for uniting crowds from all walks of life with their charismatic stage presence and dynamic singalongs, The Music summed up the Brisbane show: “Within two minutes my throat was burning. I couldn’t help but yell the words at full volume. I’ve been waiting for this moment for over a decade and to see it come to life in front of me… it took a minute or two to fully process.” AAA Backstage echoing a similar sentiment from their Sydney show: “The nostalgia Good Charlotte brought to the stage was insane, as I looked amongst the crowd there was no general stereotype as to who their typical fan is, I saw all ages and people from all walks of life in the audience.”
