One man punk rock band THE DESPERATION will release its debut single “EIGHTFIVENINETYSEVEN” on 8th May 2017. The song tackles the heartbreak of the day singer/songwriter Daniel Topp lost his Dad to a heart attack. To commemorate this tragic event, the single will be released on the 20th anniversary of his Father’s death, 08/05/2017.
Taken from the forthcoming album entitled “Rangeville”, this song sets the tone for the albums theme; the loss of a young boy’s Dad and the years of depression, anxiety and desperation that followed.
Dan has teamed up with mental health charity beyondblue for this release and will be donating 100% of the proceeds from the pre sale packs to this amazing organisation.
