After winning over audiences across Australia supporting The Kooks in January,Catfish And The Bottlemen will return this July to play Splendour In The Grass Festival. The band have announced two Splendour side-shows; Wednesday 22nd July at Corner Hotel in Melbourne and Thursday 23rd July at Oxford Art Factory in Sydney.
Catfish and The Bottlemen play loud, explosive, sexy rock and roll songs – full of guitars and energy. The four-piece from Llandudno, who met at school, have honed their amazing live show, which sees vocalist and guitarist Van McCannclimbing the walls and playing as though his life depends on it, whilst Johnny Bond(lead guitar), Benji Blakeway (bass) and Bob Hall (drums) keep up the action their end with powerful, thrilling tunes.Catfish and the Bottlemen, released their epic debut album, ‘The Balcony‘ through Caroline Australia in 2014. Produced by Jim Abiss (Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian) and written by charismatic front man Van McCann, the album is packed full of radio favourites, including ‘Kathleen’, ‘Cocoon’, ‘Rango’ and ‘Pacifier’.With Catfish and the Bottlemen melting hearts across Australia during their recent January tour the band have been kicking goals around the globe winning the coveted ‘Best Newcomer‘ at the inaugural BBC Music Awards, And in the US they were announced as the number ‘1 New Artist in America‘ by Billboard Magazineand single ‘Kathleen‘, recently performed on ‘The Late Show With David Letterman‘, became the number 1 most added song at Alternative Radio.
