Possum Records CEO Philip Israel is proud to announce the formation of a new record label called Poison Thorn Records. Poison Thorn Records, distributed by Universal Music, is a subsidiary of Possum Records. The new Sydney based label will be genre specific, catering exclusively to both local and international alternative, rock and metal bands and artists.

Israel also announced the appointment of Amber Ferguson, whom will head Poison Thorn Records in the capacity of Label Manager. Amber will be responsible for sourcing and signing new up and coming talent to the label.
