Brisbane’s Like Thieves are taking full advantage of the facetime they have been sharing with the Australian rock-loving audiences of late and are taking their brand new music on the road with them on their AUTUMN’S TWILIGHT tour in August. Throughout May, they travelled around the country side with Dead Letter Circus on The Insider Tour and are proud to announce their August run of dates in conjunction with the release of their much anticipated second EP “Autumn’s Twilight.” The EP will be released on Monday July 21.
The tour will span across each weekend in August, kicking off in sunny Tasmania at The Republic Bar on Friday 1st August.
A stack of Australia’s main music centers will get a look in, including Adelaide, Melbourne, Geelong, Sydney, Newcastle and of course, their hometown show at The New Globe Theatre in Brisvegas.
The band want to give their punters the luxury of being able to see the band on a weekend, rather than cramming in a long run of dates and fans having to miss out. It’s an idea that the band have found responds well with their audience. “When we let a few fans know that we will kick off the tour on a Friday in Tasmania, they were rapt….commenting that they feel a little left out a lot of the time!”
The tour will be supported by a number of local bands in each area. “Again, a lot of acts travel the circuit and tend to leave out the local supports, or only allow one local a small set, we want to give these bands a bit of the limelight and hopefully our fans are turned on by them, and they might even bring some of their fans that don’t know us that well yet!”
Like Thieves have a strong independent ethos, putting together the entire tour themselves, and learning along the way. “When you do things for yourself in this industry you feel more confident in the delivery of the overall product, there’s nothing wrong with hopping on the phone and doing the hard yards!”
