Eskimo Joe are proud to announce the release of their brand new single ‘GOT WHAT YOU NEED’, the first to be taken from the bands forthcoming 6th studio album WASTELANDS due for release through Dirt Diamonds Productions/Inertia on FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 20.
Last week, the band released a taste of some new music from WASTELANDS, streaming the beautiful ‘Running Out Of Needs’ across the bands social networking sites and in conjunction with selected media partners. ‘Running Out Of Needs’ is a song that maps the familiar loved Eskimo Joe sound of the last few albums to the new synth laden sound of the first official single ‘GOT WHAT YOU NEED’.
Whilst undeniably Eskimo Joe, from the opening key lines and stunning falsetto, it is clear the band have turned a corner and ventured into new aural territory with the release of ‘GOT WHAT YOU NEED’.
“We are all feeling really excited about finally getting this first song out there! It doesn’t sound like anything we’ve done before so we think people will be quite surprised by where we’ve headed. What the song is saying is when you’ve had a tough day don’t let all of that outside stuff get to you because when you get home and you’ve got the people you care about around you, that’s all you really need.” (Eskimo Joe)
