Love Like Hate EP ‘Rabbit Hole’ OUT NOW First single ‘21’
Brisbane dark pop outfit, Love Like Hate, release their debut EP ‘Rabbit Hole’; emotional, honest and instinctive rock, blended with free-form arrangements and hints of early post punk, delicate piano swings and melodies that pay tribute to some of music’s most notables – PJ Harvey, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Pat Benetar, Joan Jett and Patti Smith.
Love Like Hate is the combination of two very different but complimentary writing styles of Heather Cheketri (vocals & guitar) and Sonja Ter Horst (piano).
With ‘Rabbit Hole’ comes the single ‘21’. A coming of age song, that combines hauntingly dark lyrical undertones of egocentric scene kids joined together with flowing upbeat music. Accompanying the track is video beautifully shot outside of Brisbane in Heather’s 1970 Ford Cortina, directed by the Contortionist Studio crew (Live ‘Ride It Down’).
