Jack White Australian shows in July

by

Rock luminary JACK WHITE will be performing two headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney this July to showcase material from his much anticipated solo debut Blunderbuss (out 20 April through Sony).

Undoubtedly one of the world’s most prolific artists to emerge in the past fifteen years, Jack White has helmed some of the world’s most venerable musical outfits including The White Stripes, The Raconteurs and The Dead Weather.

The multitalented musician, eminent producer and successful label owner has taken home nine Grammys in seven different categories, proving his versatility and prowess within all endeavours. Blunderbuss is no exception.

The first single ‘Love Interruption’ from his most recent endeavour was quickly devoured and doted upon, as was follow up track ‘Sixteen Saltines’, leaving critics and fans hungry for more:

“Reminiscent of deeper cuts on the last few White Stripes albums, “Love Interruption” is an unusual but tantalizing lead track… Like the recent material from his other bands – and its title — “Love Interruption” leaves you lusting for more.” – BILLBOARD

“…This project is designed to be bigger than anything he’s done since the Stripes. Even more importantly than this, I’ve heard it three times and I can’t get a second of it out of my head.” – NME

Jack White’s live show only adds to the sense of awe and reverence felt toward the Nashville resident. Those who made it into the showcase of White’s label Third Man Records during SXSW were treated to revamped hits as well as new material, all of which Australian fans can look forward to:

“What could have been White simply showcasing his new songs turned into a two-part, two-hour party featuring several White Stripes classics as well as tunes from his other projects the Raconteurs and his cinematic Danger Mouse/Daneile Luppi collaboration, Rome….proving yet again that he’s an able, commanding helmsman no matter what ship he’s steering.” – VARIETY

“A 90-minute set, which was easily the best live performance this writer has ever seen him play (White Stripes, Raconteurs, and Dead Weather all included)…Each song exploded to form a dazzling wall of sound, a level of intensity and vigor and perfection obtained by only the greats.” – CONSEQUENCE OF SOUND

Australia’s favourite rockabilly darling LANIE LANE will be joining Jack White on tour, having received his endorsement in the early stages of her career when she took him up on his offer to produce and release the single ‘Aint Hungry’ for Third Man Records.

Lanie Lane has since performed sold out shows of her own across the country and her debut album To The Horses (out now through Ivy League) has gained her devoted fans of her own upon its release late last year.
