The EP cover art was created via the bands own innovative Face I Love App, which had fans uploading images of “faces they love” to help complete a photo-mosaic portrait of the band’s daisy-skull logo.

The Dead Daisies much-anticipated new EP, Face I Love, is out today across Australia, as the band gets ready to join rock greats, Def Leppard and KISS, on the August-leg of their massive US tour.

The four tracks of kick ass rock that make up the EP, includes the anthemic, Face I Love, the even heavier, spine-tingling, Angel In Your Eyes, the rock from start to finish, Your Karma, and an in your face rendition of The Beatles, Helter Skelter, that they’ve given their own classic rock style twist to.

When asked recently, what he loved about being part of The Dead Daisies, lead guitarist, Richard Fortus said, “Oh man, as soon I heard Jon’s voice, I was excited to write with him. Dizzy and I had worked quite a bit together as had Marco [Mendoza] and I. I knew we would come up with some great stuff. The writing and recording process has been so natural and organic. The songs just seem to flow when we get together.” (Loudwire)

The Face I Love EP is the first instalment of what will be a 2 EP release before combining the two into one huge album, with some bonus tracks yet to be recorded.

The Dead Daisies current touring line-up includes veteran of Australian rock, Jon Stevens on vocals, Richard Fortus (Guns N’ Roses/Psychedelic Furs) on lead guitar, Marco Mendoza (Thin Lizzy/Whitesnake) on bass, David Lowy (Mink/Red Phoenix) on guitar, Dizzy Reed (Guns N’ Roses/Hookers & Blow) on keys, and Brian Tichy (Whitesnake/Ozzy Osbourne/Billy Idol) on drums.

It seriously hard to find a more musically established group of guys when it comes to ROCK.  They know what it is and how to play it, with heavy influences from the late 70s & early 80s shining through.  Classic rock is definitely not dead.
