Once again, our cover art was handled by Felipe Machado\u00a0[BLIND GUARDIAN, IRON SAVIOR, ICED EARTH, GAMMA RAY]<\/strong>. We\u2019re currently about half way through recording the album and while it\u2019s been a lot of hard work making sure it\u2019s up to the standards we\u2019ve set ourselves, it\u2019s already sounding great.<\/p>\n

Every artist says their new album is \u2018their best work\u2019 or their \u2018heaviest\u2019 or \u2018most brutal\u2019. We\u2019ll skip those clich\u00e9s and say that we believe we have a solid album of good music that we\u2019re proud of and we believe stands up to anything we\u2019ve released so far. If you\u2019re familiar with\u00a0LORD<\/strong>\u00a0you\u2019ll know what to expect for the most part; a very diverse album ranging from traditional metal to commercial rock to extreme metal and everything in between. If you\u2019re wanting an album full of thrash songs, AOR songs, or progressive epic movie orchestral jazz djent punk songs that all sound the same then I\u2019m afraid you\u2019ll be a little bewildered when the style shifts from song to song. It\u2019s the\u00a0LORD<\/strong>\u00a0you know with a few new elements that have fallen into the melting pot since the last album.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>We expect the album to drop somewhere early in the second half of the year, released through Dominus Records via our licensors and distributors. Keep an eye on\u00a0www.lord.net.au<\/a>\u00a0for ongoing studio blogs, videos and sneak peaks of the album. We hope you enjoy it.\u201d<\/p>\n

LORD<\/strong>\u00a0is essentially a continuation of\u00a0DUNGEON<\/strong>, one of Australia\u2019s longest running and highest profile heavy metal bands, that disbanded in 2005.\u00a0LORD<\/strong>\u00a0has released three full length albums, two EPs and a digital-only release live album, and continues to play the\u00a0DUNGEON<\/strong>\u00a0back-catalog live. The band have shared the stage with the likes of\u00a0GAMMA RAY<\/strong>,\u00a0NIGHTWISH<\/strong>,\u00a0QUEENSRYCHE<\/strong>\u00a0and most recently\u00a0ICED EARTH<\/strong>\u00a0and continue to tour internationally, appearing at\u00a0Germany\u2019s Headbangers Open Air festival<\/strong>\u00a0in July. Their last critically acclaimed album, 2009?s \u201cSet In Stone<\/strong>\u201d featured guest appearances from\u00a0Craig Goldy [ex-DIO]<\/strong>,\u00a0Pete Lesperance [HAREM SCAREM]<\/strong>,\u00a0Glen Drover [ex-MEGADETH]<\/strong>,\u00a0Felipe Andreoi [ANGRA]<\/strong>,\u00a0Olof Morck [AMARANTHE]<\/strong>\u00a0alongside a host of other well known musicians.<\/div>\n
