Celebrated Swedish punk band,\u00a0Millencolin\u00a0<\/strong>invite fans to stream their upcoming\u00a0June 1 release,\u00a0The Melancholy Connection<\/em>. This assemblage of b-sides is a follow up to 1999’s\u00a0The Melancholy Collection<\/em>\u00a0and features\u00a0two brand new songs<\/strong>\u00a0and twelve rarities spanning from their break-out album,\u00a0Pennybridge Pioneers,<\/em>\u00a0through today. \u00a0The CD is paired with a ninety minute DVD,\u00a0The Pennybridge Production<\/em>\u00a0that takes fans inside the making of\u00a0Pennybridge Pioneers\u00a0<\/em>with never before seen archival footage, interviews with the band and live performances.<\/p>\n

The two new tracks,\u00a0 \u201cCarry You\u201d\u00a0 and\u00a0 the never heard before track, \u201cOut From Nowhere,\u201d hold up the classic Millencolin sound with energetic pop infused punk, combined with driving beats, anthemic choruses and irresistible melodies that will please diehard fans and new converts, alike.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re really excited about the new stuff we recorded! We’re taking it back to our roots and mixing it with the new sound we’ve developed over the last years\u201d says guitarist Erik Ohlsson.<\/p>\n

With an impressive string of releases behind them, nearly two million records sold worldwide and having shared stages with the likes of Blink 182, the Foo Fighters and Queens of the Stone Age, the \u00d6rebro based quartet of vocalist\/bassist Nikola Sarcevic, guitarists Erik Ohlsson and Mathias F\u00e4rm and drummer Fredrik Larzon have put together an rousing collection of material that allows fans get an inside look at the past twenty years which have brought Millencolin to where they are today.<\/p>\n
