THE OFFSPRING<\/em><\/strong> returned to Australian airwaves this week with the premiere of the brand new single \u201cCruising California<\/strong>\u201d which is available digitally now. The band have also announced the title of their forthcoming studio album DAYS GO BY<\/span><\/strong>, produced by Bob Rock<\/strong> and out June 29 <\/strong>through Sony Music Australia. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Singer and guitarist Dexter Holland<\/strong> talks about the album DAYS GO BY<\/span><\/strong>: “I don’t know why but I felt sort of serious writing this record and when I finished I felt I needed to have a few playful songs too.\u00a0 Kind of both sides of the Offspring.\u00a0 Either way I think these songs are all going to be a lot of fun to play live.”<\/p>\n

In advance of the new album release in the US, THE OFFSPRING<\/em><\/strong> will play the 20th Annual KROQ Weenie Roast Y Fiesta <\/strong>on Saturday, Cinco De Mayo (May 5th, 2012<\/strong>) at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre<\/strong> in Irvine, CA<\/strong>. The band will perform alongside Coldplay<\/strong>, Incubus<\/strong>, Silversun Pickups<\/strong>, Pennywise<\/strong> and more.\u00a0 The band is also set for a special 20th Anniversary<\/strong> performance of their Epitaph<\/strong> debut album Ignition<\/span><\/strong> at Alex’s Bar<\/strong> in Long Beach, CA<\/strong> May 3<\/strong>.\u00a0 THE OFFSPRING<\/em><\/strong> will continue to tour worldwide through 2012<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

THE OFFSPRING\u2019S<\/em><\/strong> last album, 2008’s Rise And Fall,<\/span><\/strong> Rage And Grace<\/strong><\/span>, featured the alternative and rock radio staples \u201cHammerhead<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cYou’re Gonna Go Far, Kid.\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0 Also among the band’s best-known hits are the rock anthems \u201cSelf Esteem<\/strong>,\u201d \u201cCome Out And Play (Keep \u2018Em Separated)<\/strong>\u201d and \u201cThe Kids Aren’t Alright<\/strong>.”\u00a0 The Huntington Beach, CA-based band has performed over 1100 shows across the globe<\/strong> and sold more than 36 million<\/strong> albums worldwide<\/strong>.\u00a0 Their 1994 release Smash<\/span><\/strong> remains the highest-selling album of all-time on an independent label.<\/p>\n
