Hailed as\u00a0“The unlikely saviours of American Rock”\u00a0<\/em>(Classic Rock)<\/strong>\u00a0the Rival Sons quartet was brought together by a love of music, but also, in their own words, they\u00a0“want to give the people the rock and roll they deserve by keeping it honest, visceral, and dangerous”.<\/em><\/p>\n

From the first moment the band got together there has been a special artistic chemistry, landing them opening slots with legends like\u00a0AC\/DC<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0ALICE COOPER<\/strong>. While supporting their debut release, Rival Sons scored coveted slots on the European festival circuit before joining\u00a0JUDAS PRIEST<\/strong>\u00a0as main support for their extensive UK tour.<\/p>\n

The Huffington Post\u00a0<\/strong>dubbed Rival Sons as\u00a0“one of the top 5 bands to watch”<\/em>\u00a0at CMJ Music Marathon in NYC at the end of 2010 and after that performance the band signed a deal with\u00a0Earache Records<\/strong>. “There was just the right amount of audacity and bending of the rules for us to dig the idea of being on a [traditionally] death metal label.” says guitarist, Scott Holiday.<\/p>\n

Pressure & Time\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>was recorded in just 20 days ensuring a rawness for both the listener and band. The band committed themselves to creating an experience that closely matched the attitude and excitement of one of their live performances. The album was released in the UK, Europe and US in winter 2011 to stunning reviews and critical acclaim.<\/p>\n
