\"\"<\/a>GRAMMY\u00ae Award-nominated progressive metal quintet\u00a0Periphery<\/strong>\u00a0are headed\u00a0back to Australia next March, bringing\u00a0their new album\u00a0A Pale White Dot<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0to life on stages across the country for a six-date headline tour.\u00a0Supporting them on\u00a0all dates will be Sydney modern metalcore outfit\u00a0Inertia<\/strong>\u00a0– tickets go on sale\u00a0Thursday 10 September at 9am local time via\u00a0Destroy All Lines<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The upcoming tour marks the band’s return down under following their 2024 appearance at\u00a0Monolith Festival, kicking\u00a0off on Monday 8th March at\u00a0Astor Theatre<\/strong>\u00a0in Perth, before making stops at\u00a0The Gov<\/strong>\u00a0in Adelaide,\u00a0Forum<\/strong>\u00a0in Melbourne,\u00a0Metro Theatre<\/strong>\u00a0in Sydney and\u00a0The Basement<\/strong>\u00a0in Canberra before wrapping\u00a0at\u00a0The Tivoli<\/strong>\u00a0in Brisbane on Wednesday 17th March.<\/p>\n

Formed nearly two decades ago, Periphery\u2014Misha Mansoor<\/strong>\u00a0[guitar, programming],\u00a0Jake Bowen<\/strong>\u00a0[guitar, programming],\u00a0Matt Halpern<\/strong>\u00a0[drums],\u00a0Spencer Sotelo<\/strong>\u00a0[vocals]\u00a0and\u00a0Mark Holcomb<\/strong>\u00a0[guitar]\u2014have spent their career diligently reshaping,\u00a0recharging, and redefining themselves. The band’s signature sound has evolved like any living and breathing organism would, gaining complexity and strength through life experience. Such progression has enabled the collective to deliver its most cohesive offering yet,\u00a0A Pale White Dot<\/em>\u00a0(3DOT\u00a0Recordings<\/strong>).<\/p>\n

From their 2010 self-titled debut through to 2023’s\u00a0Periphery V: Djent Is Not a Genre<\/strong><\/em>, the band have built a reputation for mind-blowing instrumentation, immersive soundscape architecture, cathartically crushing vocals, and cosmically catchy melodies, but you’ll also get emotional acuity, raw humanity, and a level of relatability that could only come from a group of brothers who have effectively gone through it all. Periphery has charged ahead at lightspeed since the 2010 release of their self-titled debut LP. Along the way, they picked up a GRAMMY\u00ae\u00a0Award nomination for\u00a0“Best Metal Performance,”\u00a0notched three straight Top 25 debuts on the\u00a0Billboard\u00a0200, clocked hundreds of millions of streams, and sold out shows in multiple continents.<\/p>\n

Supporting Periphery across Australia is Sydney-siders\u00a0Inertia. Described by\u00a0Rolling Stone Australia<\/a>\u00a0as\u00a0“one of Australia’s most compelling heavy acts right now”,<\/em>\u00a0Inertia\u00a0have forged\u00a0their path as ones to watch in the global heavy scene, and they tightened their grip on modern metalcore with the release of their debut album\u00a0Second Shadow<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0The quartet\u00a0bend and break the boundaries of their genre, targeting fans of Loathe, Spiritbox and Thornhill with flashes\u00a0of SZA and\u00a0The Weeknd. The band bring\u00a0elements of dark pop and soul to the forefront as they explore the darkest corners of metal music and add to it their own sprinkling of emo pop.<\/p>\n
