In 2027, one of modern rock’s most enduring forces will make their anticipated return down under, with\u00a0AGAINST THE CURRENT<\/strong>\u00a0today announcing two exclusive shows next January for the Till Death & Back Tour.<\/p>\n

Set to take over 170 Russell in Melbourne on Thursday 21 January and Sydney’s Liberty Hall on Friday 22 January,\u00a0AGAINST THE CURRENT<\/strong>\u00a0will take to the stage in Australia for the first time since 2023; and you can guarantee this will be\u00a0AGAINST THE CURRENT<\/strong>\u00a0bigger and louder than ever before.<\/p>\n

Forming in 2011 when vocalist Chrissy Costanza, guitarist Dan Gow and drummer Will Ferri were teenagers,\u00a0AGAINST THE CURRENT<\/strong>\u00a0has evolved from a teenage project into a global phenomenon. Releasing their debut EP\u00a0Infinity<\/em>\u00a0in 2014, ATC unveiled their debut full-length album,\u00a0In Our Bones<\/em>, in 2016. Following on with their sophomore outing, 2018’s\u00a0Past Lives<\/em>,\u00a0AGAINST THE CURRENT<\/strong>\u00a0went on to embrace independence and a bold new chapter after the breakout success of their 2021 EP\u00a0Fever<\/em>. Shifting their style into one dazzling with unapologetic energy and authenticity with their 2024 singles\u00a0silent stranger<\/em>,\u00a0blindfolded<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0good guy<\/em>\u00a0(notching up over 40 million streams worldwide for these singles alone),\u00a0AGAINST THE CURRENT<\/strong>\u00a0have also most recently offered a peek into their upcoming album this year with their explosive new tracks\u00a0Heavenly<\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0Dead Man Walking.<\/em><\/p>\n

Celebrating their 15th anniversary as a band in 2026,\u00a0AGAINST THE CURRENT<\/strong>\u00a0have also made a lasting impact in the gaming world, most notably through their collaboration with Riot Games on the rousing track\u00a0Legends Never Die<\/em>, which has surpassed one billion streams globally. Whether sharing stages with the likes of Fall Out Boy, Good Charlotte and All Time Low, or electrifying audiences on sold-out headline tours and festival stages,\u00a0AGAINST THE CURRENT<\/strong>\u00a0have built and expanded a fiercely loyal international fanbase; and it’s one that only continues to grow exponentially each year.
