From Release: Australia’s genre-bending Windwaker released HYPERVIOLENCE in July 2024 and followed the album with HYPERVIOLENCE EXPANSION PACK deluxe record earlier this year, which included three new tracks, plus other surprises. The band post a major “W” on the leaderboard with brand new song Victory Lap. The song boasts a confident (but never cocky) swagger and heaps of attitude. It offers up grooves for days and listeners are treated to a storm of glitchy guitars, bloodthirsty screams, and boisterous beats but it’s not all fists and fury. Those hooky choruses and the hip-hop-inspired vocal cadence will have you nodding your head involuntarily. It’s a thrilling collision of sounds and styles and of genres and generations.<\/p>\n
