\"\"<\/a>rackeTT Collective<\/strong> are proud to announce that the inaugural ROAR FEST Celebrating Women in Music<\/strong> will take place across St Kilda<\/strong> on the Labour Day long weekend \u2013 8 to 9 M<\/strong>arch 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Coinciding with global celebrations of International Women\u2019s Day, ROAR FEST shines a powerful spotlight on women in the Australian music industry.<\/p>\n

With a vision to see \u201cmore women on and off the stage\u201d, ROAR FEST is more than just a music Festival \u2013 it\u2019s a movement designed to connect, celebrate and amplify voices through music, art and meaningful connections. It offers a vibrant and collaborative platform for established and emerging artists and workers, fostering creativity, representation and growth; ROAR FEST ensures women have their powerful voices heard.<\/p>\n

Leading the charge as official ROAR Ambassadors<\/strong> are three of Australia\u2019s finest female performers: the irrepressible Kate Ceberano<\/strong>, Tania Doko<\/strong> (Bachelor Girl) and Ella Hooper <\/strong>(Killing Heidi). These three strong role models will lend their talents and insights both on and off the stage, bringing unparalleled passion to this groundbreaking initiative.<\/p>\n

The full ROAR FEST <\/strong>program will be released in early 2025 but organisers are thrilled to announce two concert events that will bookend each day of the Festival. Register here<\/a> to receive updates and event information.<\/p>\n

The two-day Festival wraps with a headline concert at the historic National Theatre<\/strong> on Sunday, 9 March<\/strong> with five artists spanning five decades. Hosted by the incomparable Ella Hooper<\/strong><\/a> the lineup features multi-ARIA Award winning legend Kate Ceberano<\/strong><\/a> whose musical output includes an incredible 30 albums across 4 decades, along with pop icon and winner of the 2022 Australian Women in Music (AWMA) Songwriter Award Tania Doko<\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>powerhouse vocalist and jazz aficionado WILSN<\/strong><\/a>, six-time ARIA Award winning Gabriella Cilmi<\/strong><\/a> and star on the rise, Gypsy Lee<\/strong><\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

On Saturday, 8 March<\/strong> ROAR FEST<\/strong> presents Women on the Bay <\/strong>at George Lane<\/strong> in St Kilda, featuring a diverse lineup of emerging artists including Kathleen Halloran<\/strong><\/a>, Charlie Needs Braces<\/strong><\/a>, Ruby Mae<\/strong><\/a>, Charlie Lane<\/strong><\/a> and Wild Gloriosa<\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>each performing their own set. This rare collective of performers will bring you an unceasing set of faultless musicianship and unwavering vocal stylings, with a side serving of sisterhood.<\/p>\n

Set within Melbourne\u2019s historical music heart in bayside St Kilda, ROAR FEST<\/strong> promises a program filled with over 40 inspiring performances by artists ranging from grassroots to superstars, insightful panel discussions, engaging activities, abundant networking and a raft of internship and student placement opportunities for students from the Australian College of the Arts (Collarts), ROAR\u2019s <\/strong>Official Education Partner.<\/p>\n
