\nAmerican new wave legends\u00a0DEVO<\/strong>\u00a0will be performing\u00a0their last-ever Australian appearances saying Goodbye to 50 years of De-Evolution.\u00a0<\/span>Recorded under the auspices of pioneering producer Brian Eno, 1978\u2019s\u00a0Q: Are We Not Men? A: We Are Devo! was seen as a call to arms by some and became an underground hit.\u00a0Others found\u00a0DEVO\u2019<\/strong>s sound, imagery, and material threatening.<\/div>\n

The band broke through to the mainstream with 1980\u2019s\u00a0Freedom of Choice<\/em>, which contained the platinum-selling hit single,\u00a0Whip It<\/em>, and represented a peak in their songwriting. Over the course of their remarkable 31-year career, these Polish hellraisers \u2013 spearheaded by Adam Darski, aka Nergal \u2013 are more than just the architects of their country\u2019s legendary extreme metal scene. Over the course of three decades and previous 11 albums, Nergal\u2019s singular vision has forged\u00a0BEHEMOTH<\/strong>\u00a0into something far more than a mere black metal band.<\/p>\n
