Local heroes\u00a0Luca Brasi<\/strong>\u00a0will open for\u00a0Alexisonfire<\/strong>\u00a0on all dates, warming audiences with their dynamic live set. One of the country’s most roadworthy outfits, the four piece never fails to electrify on the live stage,\u00a0Loud Mag<\/strong>\u00a0writing\u00a0“a wonderful, emotional punk-rock performance”.<\/em>\u00a0Hailing from Tasmania,\u00a0Luca Brasi\u00a0<\/strong>reached a new level with\u00a0Everything Is Tenuous,<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0their sophisticated and uplifting fifth studio album, released last year.<\/p>\n

Admired by Australian audiences, on their eighth visit down under\u00a0Alexisonfire<\/strong>\u00a0will perform songs from their celebrated catalogue, along with tunes from their new record\u00a0Otherness<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0\u2013 never before heard live by local audiences.<\/p>\n

Otherness<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is the first full length studio album in over thirteen years from the group\u00a0Rolling Stone\u00a0<\/strong>declared\u00a0“put Canadian post-hardcore on the map”.\u00a0<\/em>Their most cohesive and self-actualized record to date, across the ten tracks of\u00a0Otherness<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0the band builds a\u00a0“deliciously gritty record”<\/em>\u00a0(Line Of Best Fit<\/a>).<\/p>\n

Between 2002 and 2009,\u00a0Alexisonfire<\/strong>\u00a0released four hugely successful studio albums, all platinum-certified in their native Canada;\u00a0Alexisonfire\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>(2002),\u00a0Watch Out\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>(2004), Canadian No.1\u00a0Crisis\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>(2006), and\u00a0Old Crows \/ Young Cardinals\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>(2009).<\/p>\n

The band’s legacy across Canada and the world cannot be overstated; from their 2001 inception in Ontario, five guys playing aggressive rock (with no less than three of them singing and screaming) grew to a hockey-arena headlining phenomenon while pushing and pulling between spirited guitar leads, melodic might, and emotional weight.<\/p>\n
