\"\"<\/a>Off the back of a sold out tour, a towering new single, and killer sets at\u00a0Good Things\u00a0<\/em>festival, Australia’s favourite rockers The Butterfly Effect have today served up the video for their first new musical offering in over a decade,\u00a0Unbroken \u2013\u00a0<\/em>giving viewers\u00a0a AAA pass to life on stage and backstage.\u00a0\u00a0Featuring behind the scenes footage and on-stage rampaging from their performances at\u00a0Good Things\u00a0<\/em>Festival in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, the video will allow everyone to relive their festival-going days, and is an in-your-face reminder of just how staggeringly powerful and relevant this band is, and offers a genuine insight in to the comradery within.<\/p>\n

True to name, The Butterfly Effect is indeed a force, and they have clearly been missed by a patient and loyal fanbase who were right back there with them the moment it was revealed the band were back together.<\/p>\n

“Releasing Unbroken was a pivotal moment in itself for us. We’re so happy to have been able to write more music as ‘The Butterfly Effect’. To then be added to the\u00a0<\/em>Good Things\u00a0bill really topped off 2019 for us, “<\/em>lead vocalist Clint Boge says.\u00a0\u00a0“To be honest, stepping out onto those festival stages again was a real\u00a0uncertainty for us. It’d been 10 years\u00a0between festival performances so to see that many faces, young and old in the audience really\u00a0solidified to us that pushing\u00a0forward with new material was an absolute must.”<\/em><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Formed in 1999,\u00a0The Butterfly Effect\u00a0<\/em>have enjoyed an illustrious career racking up some impressive stats, including three massive albums \u2013 all certified Gold \u2013 multiple appearances at renowned festivals including\u00a0Livid, Falls Festival, Big Day Out\u00a0<\/em>and more, countless national and overseas tours, six consecutive years in triple j’s Hottest 100, three features on triple j’s Live at the Wireless, and a number one-selling DVD documentary and concert film.\u00a0\u00a0Despite sustained successes throughout the 00s, the rigours of band life took their toll on the band \u2013 and in 2014\u00a0The Butterfly Effect\u00a0<\/em>went on indefinite hiatus.\u00a0\u00a0After reconnecting at a rock show, the guys decided that a beer and a chat was in order.\u00a0That catch up eventually led to a sold out national tour, and an ongoing desire to continue making music, which saw\u00a0The Butterfly Effect\u00a0<\/em>jump into the studio, and as a result, the bold new single\u00a0Unbroken\u00a0<\/em>was born.\u00a0\u00a0The melancholic track is a refreshingly honest and impassioned offering from the experienced hard rockers, and one that proves their creative connection is stronger than ever.<\/p>\n

“We’re having a\u00a0blast!”\u00a0<\/em>Boge enthuses, “Obviously we\u00a0can’t all be in the studio together at the moment but writing music\u00a0online is going to be the new normal for us for\u00a0the\u00a0next few months.\u00a0It’s sounding\u00a0like us, which is exciting! The feeling is\u00a0reminiscent of when the band\u00a0first started writing\u00a0together\u00a0back in the early 2000s.”\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

And in more thrilling news for fans, the band are hopeful to have some new music to dish out before 2020 is done, with Boge saying, “We’re obviously\u00a0in\u00a0uncharted\u00a0territory in terms of when life will get back to normal for\u00a0everyone,\u00a0but for now \u2013 dropping new music before the end of the year is our\u00a0plan, and\u00a0<\/em>Unbroken\u00a0sets the tone for what’s to come.”<\/em><\/p>\n
