The world’s premier rock and metal festival\u00a0Download\u00a0<\/strong>returns to Australia after a hugely successful 2019 that saw the event debut to 20,000 heavy music fans at Parramatta Park in Sydney and return to Flemington in Melbourne to satiate 20,000 more!<\/p>\n

March 2020 will serve up another two days of pure rock and metal fury across four stages, laced with lashings of delectable ice-cold beverages and mouth-watering eats, topped off with the company of tens of thousands of your closest heavy music mates!<\/p>\n

Download 2020 takes up a new home in Melbourne at the Showgrounds and falls on a Friday… so go book in that annual leave and prep for the best long weekend of your life!<\/p>\n

The Class of Download 2020 are….<\/strong><\/p>\n

Formed in Newark, NJ,\u00a0My Chemical Romance<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0made its debut in 2002 with the independently released album\u00a0I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love<\/em>. The band signed to Reprise Records the following year and made its major label debut with 2004’s\u00a0Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge<\/em>, now 3x certified Platinum. The album contained the Platinum hit “I’m Not Okay (I Promise),” the Gold-certified “Helena,” and “The Ghost of You.”\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/em>\u00a0hailed the 3x Platinum\u00a0The Black Parade<\/em>\u00a0as one of the top albums of 2006. Lead single “Welcome to the Black Parade” topped both\u00a0Billboard’s<\/em>\u00a0Alternative Songs tally and the UK Official Singles chart and is now 3x Platinum. The band toured extensively behind the album \u2013 appearing as characters from\u00a0The Black Parade<\/em>\u00a0\u2013 and released the live album\u00a0The Black Parade is Dead!\u00a0<\/em>in 2008.\u00a0Danger Days: The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys<\/em>\u00a0was released in 2010 and topped\u00a0Billboard’s<\/em>\u00a0Alternative Albums and Top Rock Albums charts. Graduating from pub stages during the worldwide ’90s punk boom, to stages of festivals like The Big Day Out, with hit singles like Not The Same and Fall To The Ground, Bodyjar went on to tour the globe\u00a0several times over with many\u00a0of the era’s most respected acts! After calling it a day in 2005, they reunited in 2013 and have continued to tour and release new music.<\/p>\n

New Years Day<\/strong><\/a>, the U.S. metal five-piece lead by powerhouse Ash Costello, made their debut Aussie appearance hitting Download’s Avalanche Stage in Melbourne and Sydney last March, immediately setting about performing a killer set and they are back for more!
