With their third album “The Great Depression”,\u00a0As it Is\u00a0are\u00a0comprehensively proving themselves to use music to better understand who we are and feel powerfully less alone. “This record started off life as an exploration of the question ‘Do\u00a0we as a society\u00a0have a fetish for mental illness?<\/em>‘” offers\u00a0front man\u00a0Patty Walters; “Do we\u00a0romanticise\u00a0or glorify a sickness? It was important for me to do some soul-searching\u00a0around that question. Are we part of a scene that actually does more damage than good in terms of the way we talk about these issues?<\/em>”<\/p>\n

As It Is \u2013 completed by front man Patty Walters, guitarist Ron\u00a0Ish, drummer Patrick Foley and bassist Ali\u00a0Testo\u00a0\u2013 take the listener on a journey which delves into every aspect of arguably the most prevalent social ill of our time across their third studio album, “The Great Depression”.<\/p>\n
