\"\"<\/a>It\u2019s been over two years since\u00a0THE\u00a0CASANOVAS<\/span><\/b>\u00a0have played on home soil but the beloved Aussie rockers are back and hitting the road with Swedish rock n\u2019 roll outfit\u00a0BACKYARD BABIES.<\/b>\u00a0Following their packed-out European tour in 2017,\u00a0THE\u00a0CASANOVAS<\/span><\/b>\u00a0have spent the past two years writing and recording their fourth studio album which is due to be released in 2020.<\/p>\n

Earlier this year,\u00a0THE\u00a0CASANOVAS<\/strong>\u00a0welcomed the newest member of the trio\u00a0Brett \u2018Wolfie\u2019 Wolfenden<\/strong>. With a wealth of drumming experience, Wolfie\u2019s resume includes playing for artists like\u00a0Davey Lane, Tim Rogers, Jim Keays<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0The Pictures.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The history between these two bands dates back to 2002\u00a0when\u00a0THE\u00a0CASANOVAS<\/strong>\u00a0first opened for the\u00a0BACKYARD BABIES.<\/strong>\u00a0With plenty more exciting news to come before the year is out,\u00a0THE\u00a0CASANOVAS<\/strong>\u00a0are thrilled to be kicking things off with their favourite Swedes.<\/p>\n

Also joining\u00a0BACKYARD BABIES<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0THE CASANOVAS<\/strong>\u00a0are some great local talent\u00a0THE MERCY KILLS<\/strong>\u00a0in Melbourne and\u00a0KVLTS OF VICE<\/strong>\u00a0in Sydney.<\/p>\n

For 30 years,\u00a0BACKYARD BABIES<\/strong>\u00a0has delivered top\u00a0of the line\u00a0dirty rock ‘n’ roll, both live and\u00a0recorded. The fact that the original\u00a0four guys that started the\u00a0band still\u00a0are playing together, is next to unique.\u00a0Now for the first time in over a decade,\u00a0<\/strong>BACKYARD BABIES<\/strong>\u00a0are touring Australia thanks to\u00a0Silverback Touring.<\/strong><\/p>\n

In 1989\u00a0<\/strong>childhood\u00a0friends\u00a0Peder Carlsson, Dregen and Johan Blomquist were joined by Nicke Borg and\u00a0BACKYARD BABIES<\/strong>\u00a0was born.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>80’s was a decade where many dreamt of a rock star life and for most that is exactly what it remains to be \u2013 a dream, however vivid. But\u00a0BACKYARD BABIES<\/b>\u00a0understood that it<\/span>\u00a0requires hard work<\/span>, \u2018\u2019persistent\u00a0<\/span>nagging\u201d\u00a0<\/span>and a lot of networking to reach the absolute top. The ambition\u00a0<\/span>was<\/span>\u00a0set high from the very start. They enter a pact – they will\u00a0<\/span>breakup with<\/span>\u00a0their girlfriends and\u00a0<\/span>focus all their energy<\/span>\u00a0on the band. They will move to Sweden’s capital, Stockholm. The goal is\u00a0<\/span>crystal clear<\/span>\u00a0–\u00a0BACKYARD BABIES<\/b>\u00a0<\/span>shall<\/span>\u00a0succeed. They will be rock stars.<\/span><\/p>\n

The band quickly builds\u00a0<\/span>a life\u00a0<\/span>consisting of intense repetition\u00a0<\/span>and<\/span>\u00a0equally intense<\/span>\u00a0partying<\/span>, whether it’s\u00a0<\/span>a weekday<\/span>\u00a0or weekend. In Stockholm’s nightlife, they\u00a0<\/span>develop<\/span>\u00a0new contacts and one<\/span>\u00a0thing leads<\/span>\u00a0to another.\u00a0BACKYARD BABIES<\/b>\u00a0finally\u00a0<\/span>sign<\/span>\u00a0a record contract with\u00a0Megarock Records<\/i><\/b>\u00a0and in 1994,<\/span>\u00a0they\u00a0<\/span>release their debut album – aptly titled “Diesel & Powe<\/b>r<\/span>\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Fast forward to 2019 and 7 albums later, the band recently released their latest album\u00a0\u2019Silver And Gold\u2019<\/b>\u00a0it\u00a0<\/span>is energetic and powerful, the band prove that they\u00b4re in better shape than ever and most certainly have enough material to last the coming 30 years.<\/span><\/p>\n
