Idol\u2019s place in rock & roll history is one of legend: born William Michael Albert Broad in Middlesex, England, his tale is an extraordinary one. From a childhood spent between Long Island, NY and the UK of the \u201860s\/\u201870s, Idol\u2019s brash, bold and searingly honest voice has been embraced by fans worldwide. Idol first took his moniker back in 1976 as part of seminal London band Generation X. Years of in-your-face attitude and fire are all across hits including\u00a0\u2018To Be A Lover\u2019<\/a>,\u00a0\u2018Mony Mony\u2019<\/a>,\u00a0\u2018Sweet Sixteen\u2019<\/a>,\u00a0\u2018Cradle Of Love\u2019<\/a>,\u00a0\u2018L.A. Idol\u2019s best-selling 2014 autobiography,\u00a0Dancing With Myself<\/em><\/a>, offers the sort of eye-opening anecdotes full of drugs, sex, and rock \u2018n\u2019 roll that only Billy Idol can tell. 2014 also saw his first album of new material in 10 years, in album number eight,\u00a0Kings & Queens of the Underground<\/em>.<\/p>\n

This year, fans can re-live Idol\u2019s early years via the recently released special edition ofGeneration X<\/a><\/em>, remastered from that album\u2019s original \u00bc\u201d production tapes. The special package features additional tracks and non-album singles, B-sides, 11 unreleased outtakes and more.<\/p>\n

Idol is currently on the road in the USA alongside Bryan Adams, while October will see him perform a 10-date Las Vegas residency. As well as his trip down under, 2020 will also see Idol receive a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.<\/p>\n

Joining Billy Idol on all dates is Melbourne rockers\u00a0The Delta Riggs<\/strong><\/a>. In September, the Delta Riggs will head to the UK for a series of shows in support of their upcoming fourth album\u00a0Modern Pressure<\/em>, due out Sept 6, before joining Idol on stage next Jan\/Feb.<\/p>\n
