\"\"<\/a>ARCHITECTS<\/strong>, the Brighton-based outfit Kerrang recently awarded the title of \u201cBest British Live Band\u201d today announce their return to Australia in support of their eighth album, \u201cHoly Hell\u201d. The tour kicks off at Adelaide\u2019s Thebarton Theatre on Tuesday, August 6 before heading to Brisbane\u2019s brand-new and soon-to-be-unveiled Fortitude Music Hall on Thursday, August 8, Sydney\u2019s Big Top on\u00a0Saturday\u00a0August 10 and Festival Hall in Melbourne on\u00a0Sunday\u00a0August 11.<\/p>\n

Tickets for all shows go on sale at\u00a0<\/strong>10am<\/strong>\u00a0Wednesday, February 13.<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u201cHoly Hell\u201d marks the band\u2019s first release since the untimely passing of Tom Searle, Architect\u2019s founding guitarist, principal songwriter and twin brother to drummer Dan. \u201cIn those first months after Tom\u2019s death, I didn\u2019t deal with it at all and I felt so unhappy and anxious<\/em>,\u201d Dan explains. \u201cI\u2019d ignored it and just tried to cope. But I knew that at some point, I had to learn from it<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s at times like that you ask yourself, \u2018What is left?\u2019<\/em>\u201d adds vocalist Sam Carter. \u201cAs a group of friends, we had to find something.<\/em>\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cUltimately, there were two choices<\/em>,\u201d Dan says. \u201cFeel sorry for yourself and believe the world to be a horrible place and let it defeat you. Or let it inspire us to live the life that Tom would have wanted us to live. I was very worried about people taking away a despondent message from the album. I felt a level of responsibility to provide a light at the end of the tunnel for people who are going through terrible experiences.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Finding a way forward, the band spent 2017 recording what would become the 11-song album, with Dan and guitar player Josh Middleton handling production. \u201cFor me, broadly speaking Holy Hell is about pain: the way we process it, cope with it, and live with it<\/em>,\u201d Dan offers. \u201cThere is value in pain. It\u2019s where we learn, it\u2019s where we grow<\/em>.\u201d<\/p>\n

Having recently finished up an arena tour of the UK, 2019 sees the group touring \u201cHoly Hell\u201d throughout Europe, North America and now also Australia. This will be band\u2019s first tour of Australia since 2017 which saw them sell out three shows in Melbourne and two in Sydney \u2013their return is expected to be nothing short of epic.<\/p>\n
