This will be Gilby\u2019s first in over 15 years!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Mark Alexander-Erber,<\/strong>\u00a0Golden Robot Entertainment Group Founder and President: says of signing Clarke;\u00a0<em>&#8216;I couldn\u2019t be happier to sign such an incredible artist like Gilby Clarke to our GRR international roster. He is totally authentic through and through. He brings such a wealth of experience to his songwriting, playing and producing and I know the world is ready for his new solo album which is a long time coming.\u00a0It is an honour to release this record.<\/em>\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Clarke explains his excitement about the signing\u00a0\u00a0<em>\u201cI am so happy to be a part of the Golden Robot family for my new solo record. I use the word family because I feel like I found a home. We share the same passion for Rock n Roll! Rock N Roll is alive n\u2019 well &amp; together we will turn it up loud!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Gilby recently did an interview with\u00a0<strong>Gibson Guitars<\/strong>\u00a0at the 2019 Namm show in Los Angeles where he discusses his upcoming album.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/yFnVXj5JyCg?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Best known for his tenure in the mighty\u00a0<strong>Guns N Roses<\/strong>, Gilby has a long and storied career of which, GNR is only a part.\u00a0Arriving in Hollywood as a 17 year old punk from Cleveland, Gilby soon found himself as a ghost writer and session player for former Runaway\u2019s manager,\u00a0<strong>Kim Fowley<\/strong>who then urged him to join the band,\u00a0<strong>Candy<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0Gilby proved a little too rough and ready for the polished power-poppers and found himself a home both with hard-rockers\u00a0<strong>Kill For Thrills<\/strong>\u00a0and as a songwriter for\u00a0<strong>Virgin Records<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>Then a late night call from\u00a0<strong>Slash\u00a0<\/strong>changed everything\u2026 Gilby joined Guns N Roses in late 1991, replacing the recently departed Izzy Stradlin. For the next 3 years, Gilby strapped in for the wildest ride of his life, playing stadiums the world over and appearing on Guns N Roses,\u00a0<em><strong>Spaghetti Incident, Live Era \u201988-\u201991<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<em><strong>The Greatest Hits<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0albums.<\/p>\n<p>After GNR\u2019s mid 90\u2019s implosion, Gilby, armed only with his Les Paul, went back to Virgin and launched his solo career. Receiving critical acclaim for his albums\u00a0<em><strong>Pawnshop Guitars, The Hangover, Rubber, 99 Live<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong><em>Swag<\/em><\/strong>, he began the new millennium touring with the likes of\u00a0<strong>Nancy Sinatra, Heart, The MC5<\/strong>\u00a0and with his old band mate in\u00a0<strong>Slash\u2019s Snakepit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In 2006, Gilby joined forces with\u00a0<strong>Motley Crue\u2019s Tommy Lee<\/strong>\u00a0and former\u00a0<strong>Metallica<\/strong>\u00a0bassist\u00a0<strong>Jason Newsted<\/strong>\u00a0to form\u00a0<strong>Rock Star Supernova<\/strong>. The band hosted the TV show of the same name in search of a singer and toured the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand in early 2007.<\/p>\n<p>In 2012 Gilby reunited with his former GNR bandmates and performed with them as they were inducted into the\u00a0<strong>Rock N Roll Hall of Fame<\/strong>.\u00a0\u00a0That same year Gilby joined\u00a0<strong>Kings of Chaos<\/strong>\u00a0with ex GNR members\u00a0<strong>Matt Sorum<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Duff McKagan<\/strong>\u00a0and an all-star rotating roster of icons that featured\u00a0<strong>Steven Tyler, Joe Elliot, Nikki Sixx, Glen Hughes<\/strong>\u00a0and many more.<\/p>\n<p>Now in 2019, Gilby is preparing to unleash his first new solo music in nearly two decades! An old school mash-up of\u00a0<strong>Keef, Johnny Thunders<\/strong>, and<strong>\u00a0B.B.
