They invaded Download Melbourne last year, capturing the hearts and stomachs of Melbourneites and are back serving a bigger and more delicious line up, that features a handful of Sydney and Melbourne\u2019s most talked about and talented chefs. There\u2019s a little bit of something for everyone from the high-end foodie to those who love everyday gozleme\u2026.<\/p>\n

After a massive debut year in 2018, Hell\u2019s Kitchen<\/strong> returns to Download with a mouth-watering line up once again lovingly curated by Mary\u2019s legends, Jake and Kenny.<\/p>\n

Marys \u2018s opened in a former STD clinic on a small back street in Newtown in 2013, quickly gaining a reputation as one of Sydney\u2019s hottest joints. With the red light hanging out front, the lines formed, and have barely moved since.Short menu, loud music and plenty of booze is the recipe from which the Mary’s juggernaut continues to grow. Mary\u2019s has long been associated with good music, and this year Jake Smyth and Kenny Graham bring their brand of rock n roll food to Download Festival 2019. The pair have also\u00a0opened a\u00a0City Mary’s, two pubs \u2013 The Lansdowne Hotel Chippendale\u00a0and\u00a0The Unicorn Hotel Paddington\u00a0\u2013 and P&V Liquor + Wine Merchants Enmore.<\/p>\n

Aaron Turner – Igni<\/a><\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Aaron Turner is head chef and co-owner of Igni, a Geelong restaurant he opened in 2016. In 2017 Turner was voted chef of the year in the 2017 edition of\u00a0The Age Good Food Guide. Igni was also named best regional restaurant at Gourmet Traveller\u2019s national restaurant awards and was named No.14 in Gourmet Traveller Top 100 2019 Aaron also owns Hot Chicken Project in Geelong.<\/p>\n

Jo Barrett \u2013 Oakridge Winery<\/a><\/u> <\/strong><\/p>\n

As co-head chef alongside her partner Matt Stone at Oakridge in the Yarra Valley, she\u2019s turning out some of the most talked about food in the country, particularly her talent for pastry and baking bread. She shares her inspiring sustainability ethos and the price of striving for perfection\u00a0 and reveals the incredible inner city food hub you never knew existed. Oakridge has been awarded one Chef\u2019s Hat in The Good Food Guide 2018 Awards. Oakridge was named No. 50 in Gourmet Travellers Top 100.<\/p>\n

Phil Wood \u2013 Laura \/ Pt Leo Estate<\/a><\/u>
\n<\/strong>Phil Wood is the Culinary Director at Pt Leo Estate on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. The two restaurants at Pt Leo Estate, Laura and Pt Leo Restaurant, were named Victoria\u2019s No. 1 restaurant in the Sunday Herald Sun Delicious 100.<\/p>\n

Laura was awarded New Restaurant of the Year and Two Hats at the 2019 Good Food Guide Awards New Restaurant of the Year 2018 at the Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Awards Hottest Regional Restaurant 2019 in The Weekend Australia\u2019s Hot 50 Best Regional Restaurant at the Time Out Melbourne Awards. Pt Leo Restaurant was awarded One Hat at the 2019 Good Food Guide Awards. \u00a0Wood was previously Executive Chef of Sydney\u2019s Rockpool est. 1989 and Eleven Bridge. Under his leadership, Rockpool est. 1989 was awarded three chef\u2019s hats by the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide.<\/p>\n

Paul Carmichael \u2013 Momofuku Seiobo<\/a><\/u> <\/strong><\/p>\n

Paul is from Barbados where his first professional kitchen experiences were at Sandy Lane Hotel.<\/p>\n

In 2015, Paul moved to Sydney to become the executive chef of Momofuku Seiobo. Momofuku Seiobo won Gourmet Traveller Restaurant of the year 2014 and has three hats from The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide 2019. Sei?bo is currently ranked No. 2 restaurant in Australia by Gourmet Traveller Magazine 2019<\/p>\n

Ali Currey – Voumarde \u2013 Agrarian Kitchen<\/a><\/u> <\/strong><\/p>\n

At just 25, Executive Chef Ali has put the restaurant at the forefront of the food scene in Tasmania creating dishes that the customers love all the while making a name for herself. In 2018 the Agrarian Kitchen won the Good Food Guide\u2019s \u2018Regional Restaurant of the Year\u2019 and she claimed the Best New Talent at the Gourmet Traveller Restaurant Award. Ali Currey also won 2019 Gourmet Traveller Best New Talent.<\/p>\n

Enrico Tomelleri – <\/strong>\u00a0Fratelli Paradiso \/ 10 William St<\/a> <\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Run by the same brothers<\/a> as Fratelli Paradiso<\/a> in Potts Point, 10 William St mixes classic Italian swagger with Australian-style experimentation. Internationally recognised Enrico Tomelleri who moved to Australia in 2011 before landing his first local stint at Fratelli Paradiso. Fratelli Paradiso was Ranked 25th in the prestigious Australia\u2019s Top 100 Restaurants Award in 2016 and earning one hat in the Good Food Guide. In 2018 was ranked No.96 in Gourmet Traveller Top 100.<\/p>\n
