One of the metal worlds most recognisable, praised and iconic figures,\u00a0Scott Ian, will be in Australia for a series of spoken word events this September!<\/p>\n

The co-founding rhythm guitarist of ‘Big 4’ legends\u00a0Anthrax\u00a0practically invented Thrash Metal and in a career spanning nearly four decades remains as vital as ever. Scott’s rapid fire riffs, unmistakable crunchy tone and incisive lyrics continue to spawn generations of new bands who wear Anthrax\u2019s influence on their tattooed sleeves.<\/p>\n

Now, fans can hear and see Scott on stage in an entirely different way, behind a mike, telling wildly entertaining road stories about the people he has met, crazy experiences he has had and all the mischief, shenanigans and back stage antics he and his peers have gotten into over the past 38 years of touring the world!<\/p>\n

In Scott\u2019s own words, “One\u00a0Man Riot is what I call my talking show because the pretension of\u00a0saying I am doing a ‘Spoken Word’ show is too much to bear. This isn\u2019t a\u00a0poetry reading. This isn’t an evening of sensitive discourse. It’s an\u00a0evening of ridiculous truth.\u00a0 It’s me\u00a0talking\u00a0(swearing) about this\u00a0insane life I’ve led over the last 38 years, the people I’ve met and the\u00a0shit that’s happened. And when I’m done swearing, you can ask me\u00a0anything you want, the floor is yours. \u00a0Cheers my friends.\u201d<\/p>\n

Bursting onto the scene in 1984 with\u00a0Fistful Of Metal, Scott and Anthrax have sold over 10 million albums, receiving multiple Gold and Platinum awards, been nominated for a bunch of Grammy’s\u00a0and continue to write career besting albums to this day! 2016\u2019s\u00a0For All Kings\u00a0debuted in the US Billboard Top 200 at number 9 and the worldwide charts at number 8!<\/p>\n

While widely known as the\u00a0face of\u00a0Anthrax, Scott is also a constant\u00a0and extremely recognizable figure in the worlds of horror,\u00a0comics, movies and television.<\/p>\n

What does Scott get up to? Well\u2026.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the early 90\u2019s it was Scott\u2019s idea to cover\u00a0Public Enemy\u2019s\u00a0Bring The Noise\u00a0which brought the two worlds of rap and metal together like never before and saw\u00a0Chuck D,\u00a0Flavor Flav\u00a0and the rest of PE touring the world with Anthrax, \u00a0kicking the asses of expectations and stereotypes everywhere they went. Scott also takes no credit\u00a0good or bad for any\u00a0musical genre that came after\u2026<\/p>\n

Scott hosted the\u00a0Rock Show\u00a0on VH1 for a year and got to interview\u00a0Ozzy Osbourne\u00a0while dressed as\u00a0Gene\u00a0Simmons\u00a0for\u00a0Halloween. That went well.<\/p>\n

In 2009 Scott wrote\u00a0Lobo: Highway To Hell\u00a0for\u00a0DC Comics\u00a0and\u00a0wrote his second series for DC featuring\u00a0The\u00a0Demon\u00a0which is being scheduled for release.<\/p>\n

Scott and Anthrax are part of the iconic ‘Big 4\u2019 metal bands alongside\u00a0Metallica,\u00a0Slayer\u00a0and\u00a0Megadeth. Scott had the highlight of his\u00a0career in\u00a0Anthrax when The Big 4 played Yankee Stadium in\u00a0NYC on Sept 14, 2011. \u00a0That day was also officially\u00a0proclaimed Anthrax\u00a0Day in the Bronx. Suck that everyone in high school.<\/p>\n

Scott’s autobiography\u00a0I’m The Man The Story of That Guy from Anthrax\u00a0was released October 14, 2014,\u00a0and with all modesty, it got great reviews everywhere! Even the\u00a0New York Times\u00a0book reviewer liked it. You\u00a0should read it.<\/p>\n

Scott’s second book\u00a0Access All Areas – Stories From A Hard Rock Life\u00a0was released in December of 2017. The book is comprised of twenty-three ridiculous stories from Scott’s life. If you hate\u00a0laughing, this book is\u00a0not for you.<\/p>\n

Scott has taken his stories on the road doing Spoken Word tours of the U.S., Canada, the U.K. & Europe to\u00a0critical acclaim.\u00a0More importantly, the people that paid to see the shows really liked them.<\/p>\n

Scott hosts the horror FX show\u00a0Bloodworks\u00a0for the Nerdist Channel. Scott got to be a walker on season 5 episode\u00a012 of\u00a0The\u00a0Walking Dead\u00a0attacking\u00a0Rick Grimes\u00a0until he got a metal pole through the head by Rick’s son Carl.<\/p>\n

For\u00a0the new season of\u00a0Bloodworks,\u00a0Scott recently filmed an episode from the set of Game of Thrones. Now he can\u00a0retire.<\/p>\n

Scott is also happily married to\u00a0Pearl Aday, daughter of\u00a0Meat Loaf\u00a0and they are in a band together called\u00a0Motor Sister.<\/p>\n

Scott and Anthrax are currently on the\u00a0Slayer\u00a0farewell tour in the U.S. Scott hopes this farewell tour lasts about\u00a0ten years.<\/p>\n
