Unheavenly Creatures<\/em>\u00a0is accompanied by the\u00a0P.R. Brown directed official video\u00a0<\/strong>and an\u00a0exclusive interview with frontman Claudio Sanchez<\/strong>, both\u00a0available to view at Marvel.com<\/strong><\/a>. Fans can also tune in today for Marvel’s weekly podcast,\u00a0This Week In Marvel<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0to listen to an extended interview with Sanchez as he discusses the band’s forthcoming album.<\/p>\n

The Unheavenly Creatures<\/em>\u00a0is Coheed and Cambria’s eighth studio album. Their furious return to concept albums (15 songs over 78 minutes) is the ‘First Act’ in a brand-new story arc within the backdrop of\u00a0The Amory Wars<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0universe. The clip takes us inside the story’s opening chapters, where we begin by seeing two captured criminals (Creature and Colossus) being walked through a ship on their way towards judgment for their crimes. It’s clear any friendship that once existed has not survived, as we see colorful ?ashbacks of their crimes committed against society, and perhaps, one another.<\/p>\n

Pre-orders are also currently underway for the album’s deeply immersive\u00a0Vaxis \u2013 Act 1: The Unheavenly Creatures<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set<\/strong><\/a>, which includes an exclusive eighty-plus page hardcover illustrated sci-fi novel with strikingly realistic color imagery by\u00a0Chase Stone<\/strong>, as well as the complete\u00a0Act 1<\/em>\u00a0novella written by frontman Claudio Sanchez and his wife,\u00a0Chondra Echert<\/strong>.\u00a0The set also houses a fully-wearable hard-plastic mask of the main character inThe Unheavenly Creatures<\/em>, a CD copy of the album,<\/em>\u00a0a three-panel fold out poster of expanded album cover art, as well as the exclusive bonus album,\u00a0The Crown Heights Demos<\/em><\/strong>,\u00a0<\/em>showing the songs in their original written form.<\/p>\n

Coheed and Cambria made their long-awaited return last month with the arrival of\u00a0The Dark Sentencer<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, the first new music to be released by the band since their acclaimed 2015 LP,\u00a0The Color Before The Sun<\/em><\/strong>. Leaked to fans byfrontman Claudio Sanchez along with the opening paragraphs from the album’s aforementioned novella the track made a massive global impact, with\u00a0Revolver<\/strong>\u00a0declaring,\u00a0“the soaring song with its rolling guitar riff could soundtrack the montage to any intergalactic underdog story.”<\/em>\u00a0“<\/em>The Dark Sentencer\u00a0opens with prickly guitars that build into a stadium-sized thump,”<\/em>\u00a0noted\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/strong>, while\u00a0Consequence of Sound\u00a0<\/strong>hailed\u00a0The Dark Sentencer<\/em>\u00a0adding,\u00a0“Gang vocals and ephemeral harmonies underscore the band’s trademark shredding.”<\/em><\/p>\n
