\"\"<\/a>Judas Priest\u00a0could easily rest on their laurels at this stage of their highly successful and influential career. However, the legendary metal band\u00a0– singer Rob Halford, guitarists Glenn Tipton and Richie Faulkner, bassist Ian\u00a0Hill, and drummer Scott Travis –\u00a0refuse\u00a0to do so\u00a0as evidenced by the arrival of their eighteenth studio album overall, Firepower.<\/p>\n

Set for\u00a0release\u00a0on\u00a0Friday 9th\u00a0March 2018 via Sony Music Australia\u00a0–\u00a0the album is comprised of fourteen tracks of pure and highly inspired metal.\u00a0 And to mark the occasion Priest has reunited with producer Tom\u00a0Allom (the man behind the\u00a0board for\u00a0all of the band\u2019s releases from 1979-1988, including\u00a0such stellar classics as\u00a0\u2018Unleashed in the East,\u2019\u00a0\u2018British Steel,\u2019\u00a0\u00a0\u2018Screaming for Vengeance\u2019 and ‘Defenders of the Faith’) and with\u00a0Grammy Award-winning\u00a0producer Andy Sneap\u00a0also\u00a0helping\u00a0to\u00a0raise the sonic bar even higher.<\/p>\n

\u201cTom\u00a0Allom\u00a0has got this classic metal thing,\u201d\u00a0explains\u00a0Halford.\u00a0\u201cAnd Andy is a bit more of\u00a0a\u00a0\u2018modern metal producer\u2019 but his thinking is a little bit different to Tom\u2019s. And I think to get this balance between that classic old school metal to what Andy\u2019s world is was just a remarkable coalescence.\u201d\u00a0\u201cTom\u00a0Allom\u00a0has been with us since 1979, so his knowledge of ourselves and our\u00a0music in general is immense,\u201d adds Hill.\u00a0And according to Travis\u00a0Priest\u00a0returned back\u00a0to a recording method that worked incredibly well\u00a0on the band\u2019s\u00a0earlier\u00a0classics –\u00a0\u201cWe went back to the organic way of recording where it\u2019s all of us in a room\u00a0and we got to play together.\u201d<\/p>\n
