It\u2019s been twenty years since triple j unearthed the Hooper siblings as\u00a0Killing Heidi\u00a0with their disarming folk pop song,\u00a0\u2018Kettle\u2019. The band soon expanded into colourful teenage power pop and burst onto the national and international stage with their breakthrough debut album\u00a0Reflector,\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>released in March 2000.
\nAnthemic singles \u2018Mascara\u2019 and \u2018Weir\u2019\u00a0made\u00a0Reflector<\/em>\u00a0a blow-out success and\u00a0cemented the work as\u00a0one of Australia\u2019s most loved pop albums.<\/p>\n

The early naughties belonged to Killing Heidi with\u00a0Weir placing #2 and Mascara #14 in triple j\u2019s Hottest 100.\u00a0Reflector<\/em> went onto to take out four ARIA awards and reach 4 x platinum status.\u00a0The\u00a0Hooper siblings also won the critically-acclaimed APRA songwriters of the year award. A seminal part of the Aus indie music story. Reflector<\/em>\u00a0will be available for the VERY first time digitally on\u00a0March 24.<\/p>\n

Ella and Jesse Hooper reignited the flame re-banding for the 20th anniversary of Queenscliff Music Festival in November 2016, a perfect fit as it marked 20 years since the siblings first started performing as \u2018Killing Heidi’. Inspired by the electric energy and capacity crowd their reunion performance drew, they then went on to wow fans at the Zoo Twilight concert series in February at Taronga and Melbourne Zoos.\u00a0Ella, Jesse and the band are full of their trademark enthusiasm and can\u2019t wait to get back on the road again.<\/p>\n
