The Daisies are currently touring with Whitesnake in the U.S., right off the back of a huge European tour with\u00a0<\/span><\/span>KISS.\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span>Along the way, they have played to a pile of fans and left them in their wake with monster sets, at the largest festivals in Europe.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Back in February 2015, the Daisies got the chance to play some rock\u2019n\u2019roll in Cuba and it proved a revelation. The revelation became a revolution as the boys started conceiving their next album. The passion they\u2019d experienced in Cuba was confirmation \u2013 the world needs to be reminded that classic rock is\u00a0<\/span><\/span>alive and kicking<\/em><\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u2013 and with the new album, and new singer\u00a0<\/span><\/span>John Corabi<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(<\/span><\/span>M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce, RATT<\/em><\/span><\/span>),<\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span>The Dead Daisies were going to deliver just that, an album of classic rock\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Revoluci\u00f3n!<\/em><\/span><\/span>\u00a0They even found time to record additional tracks for\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Revoluci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span>\u00a0at Abdala recording studios with producer\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Ben Grosse<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(<\/span><\/span>Marilyn Manson, Sevendust<\/em><\/span><\/span>), who accompanied them on the journey.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Revoluci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span>\u00a0produced and recorded at 301 studios in Sydney with Craig Porteils (Guns N’ Roses\/Billy Idol), features bassist\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Marco Mendoza<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(<\/span><\/span>Thin Lizzy, Whitesnake<\/em><\/span><\/span>), keyboard player\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Dizzy Reed<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(<\/span><\/span>Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/em><\/span><\/span>), guitarist\u00a0<\/span><\/span>David Lowy<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(<\/span><\/span>MINK, Red Phoenix<\/em><\/span><\/span>), lead guitarist\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Richard Fortus<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(<\/span><\/span>Guns N\u2019 Roses, The Psychedelic Furs<\/em><\/span><\/span>),\u00a0<\/span><\/span>John Corabi<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(<\/span><\/span>M\u00f6tley Cr\u00fce, RATT<\/em><\/span><\/span>) on vocals,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Brian Tichy<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(<\/span><\/span>Ozzy Osbourne, Billy Idol<\/em><\/span><\/span>) on drums and additional drumming from\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Jackie Barnes<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0(<\/span><\/span>Jimmy Barnes<\/em><\/span><\/span>), who is the son of Scottish born Australian singer Jimmy Barnes. Also included on the album is Cuban musician\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Yaimi Karell Lay<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0on percussion.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The first single from the album is \u201c<\/span><\/span>Mexico<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u201d and you can watch the\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Paul Boyd<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0directed music video\u00a0<\/span><\/span>HERE<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span>. The track is being really well received in the U.S., Europe and now by Australian radio and has already been played on Triple M ‘Homegrown’ show\u00a0<\/span><\/span>along with sixteen community and digital radio stations. Also, Qantas’ ‘Rock on Q’ radio show<\/span><\/span>\u00a0has now added\u00a0<\/span><\/span>\u201cMexico\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span>\u00a0to the September through to November\u00a0<\/span><\/span>edition.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Adding some spice to the release of\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>\u201c<\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span>Mexico\u201d,\u00a0<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span><\/span>The Daisies have teamed up with\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Fraser Harley-Davidson<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Sydney<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>,\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span>Pistonhead Lager,\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>and\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>Beach Burrito<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0to bring you a\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span>‘Secret Location’<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span>\u00a0Private show on October 11 in Sydney. There will also be the opportunity to donate and win a customised ‘Daisies’ Harley-Davidson Street 500 Motorcycle. The entire Cuban adventure has also been made into a short film and a photo e-book. Released around the album in the U.S., the documentary also premiered for the first time on Twitter on August 1, 2015. Both titled,\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Revoluci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/span>, they were shot by photographer\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Katarina Benzova<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0and Cuban videographer\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Karel Renzoly Green<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0and the short film was edited by filmmaker\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Kenn Michael<\/strong><\/span><\/span>\u00a0and produced by music and film producer\u00a0<\/span><\/span>Danny Saber<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/span>.
