\n<\/a>Possum Records CEO Philip Israel is proud to announce the formation of a new record label called Poison Thorn Records. Poison Thorn Records, distributed by Universal Music, is a subsidiary of Possum Records. The new Sydney based label will be genre specific, catering exclusively to both local and international alternative, rock and metal bands and artists.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a wealth of undiscovered and highly talented artists out there. With Poison Thorn Records, we aim to uncover the best of this talent and provide the artists with an opportunity to expose their muse to a wider audience\u201d \u2013 Philip Israel<\/p>\n

Israel also announced the appointment of Amber Ferguson, whom will head Poison Thorn Records in the capacity of Label Manager. Amber will be responsible for sourcing and signing new up and coming talent to the label.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlthough Amber is a relatively fresh face in the music industry, her passion and intricate knowledge of the alternative and hard rock scenes both here and internationally, will prove to be a huge asset to the label and to the artists it represents\u201d \u2013 Philip Israel<\/p>\n

Unsigned bands and artists in the alternative, rock and metal genres, are invited to send their music via a Soundcloud link to info@poisonthornrecords.com<\/a><\/strong> or alternatively, send CDs and biography to Poison Thorn Records, PO Box 1524, Bowral NSW 2576 for review.<\/p>\n
