\"\"<\/a>Canadian Rock trio THE TEA PARTY today announce the release of their single \u2018Water\u2019s On Fire\u2019 through Anthem\/Sony Music Entertainment Australia. This marks the band\u2019s first new music since 2004\u2019s Seven Circles and is a harbinger to a studio album in the coming months.<\/p>\n

The original line-up of Jeff Martin, Stuart Chatwood, and Jeff Burrows reunited in 2011 for selected Australian and Canadian live dates and their sense of artistic kinship inevitably led them back to the studio.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe weren\u2019t compelled to do this,\u201d reflects Martin. \u201cWe challenged ourselves to make something together and believe this stands with any statement The Tea Party has made.\u201d<\/p>\n

Recorded at Toronto\u2019s Revolution studios and produced by Martin, the forthcoming album is presently being mixed by three-time Grammy winner David Bottrill (Peter Gabriel, Muse, Tool) and expands on the band\u2019s immediately distinctive, Moroccan Roll sound matched with Martin\u2019s broad canvas lyrics.<\/p>\n

Formed in 1990, The Tea Party have released seven studio albums, selling over two million copies worldwide, filling stadiums on the strength of anthemic hits such as \u2018The River\u2019, \u2018Sister Awake\u2019, \u2018Temptation\u2019, and \u2018Heaven Coming Down\u2019.
