\"\"<\/a>Fresh of their win at the Music Oz Awards<\/strong> <\/strong>for Best Rock Album<\/strong>, Melbourne-based indie, rock band July Days<\/strong> have released the video for their second single \u201cPhotos\u201d<\/em><\/strong> from their forth-coming debut album.<\/p>\n

The Video:<\/strong><\/p>\n

The video for \u201cPhotos\u201d<\/em><\/strong> is the collaboration of Melbourne filmmaker Jack C Levitt<\/strong>,<\/strong> Lawrence Henry<\/strong> and July Days<\/strong>. Conceptualised by Lawrence Henry<\/strong> (frontman for July Days<\/strong>), the video is the band\u2019s not too subtle tribute to one of their greatest musical influences The Verve and their video for \u201cBittersweet Symphony”<\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

“I’m sure our influences are obvious in our music, but it was exciting to pay tribute to one of our influences in a different way.\u00a0The idea of doing a video in one shot was ambitious, but we really wanted to take on something that we would be proud of. It took a bit of trial and error but Jack (cinematographer), the cast and crew were all amazing and really took our vision and made it happen.”\u00a0\u2013 Lawrence Henry<\/em><\/p>\n

Shot in one continuous take along the urban street scape of Melbourne’s inner-north, the video is an intricately timed and crafted shot that ebbs and flows, rumbling along Brunswick St, North Fitzroy to the beat of July Days\u2019<\/strong> second single \u201cPhotos\u201d<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The Story So Far:<\/strong><\/p>\n

It\u2019s been quite a journey for July Days, having played together since late 2008, they\u2019ve won over legions of fans with their rockin\u2019, hook driven tunes that posses the heart of Neil Finn <\/strong>and the attitude of the Gallagher Brothers.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Their debut album \u2018Night is for Hunting\u2019<\/strong><\/a>, <\/strong>produced by Darren Middleton from Powderfinger <\/strong>and co-produced by David Kahne (Paul McCartney, The Rubens, Lana Del Ray, The Strokes) <\/strong>is out now and available on iTunes<\/a>.<\/p>\n
