Boasting a rich and prolific history of more than 60 albums and sales exceeding 30 million worldwide, Lynyrd Skynyrd\u2019s southern sounds are etched on the American rock landscape and their cult classics such as \u2018Sweet Home Alabama<\/strong>\u2019 and \u2018F<\/strong>r<\/strong>e<\/strong>e Bird<\/strong>\u2019 ingrained in the American spirit.<\/p>\n

Reunited \u00a0and \u00a0reignited, \u00a0Lynyrd \u00a0Skynyrd \u00a0–\u00a0 including \u00a0core \u00a0members \u00a0Gary \u00a0Rossington, \u00a0Johnny \u00a0Van \u00a0Zant \u00a0and \u00a0Rickey Medlock \u00a0– \u00a0will \u00a0lead \u00a0a\u00a0fiery, \u00a0guitar-driven\u00a0 \u00a0assault \u00a0on \u00a0The \u00a0Plenary, \u00a0Melbourne,\u00a0\u00a0 on \u00a0February \u00a011 \u00a0and \u00a0the \u00a0Sydney Entertainment Centre on February 13.<\/p>\n

Formed in Jacksonville, Florida, in the late 1960s Lynyrd Skynyrd\u2019s unbridled passion for making music, expert harmonies and powerful melodies still stand strong \u2013 a cultural icon that appeals to all generations.<\/p>\n

Following the success of their 2009 album, Billboard top 20 \u2018God & Guns\u2019, last year the band recorded \u2018Last of a Dyin\u2019 Breed\u2019, the album delivering their highest position since 1977, debuting at #14 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart.<\/p>\n

The Skynyrd story could have ended in a Mississippi swamp with the 1977 plane crash that killed three band members, including Ronnie Van Zant and Steve Gaines.
