And now, it&#8217;s time to celebrate in a big way with one of the most exciting announcements in the history of <strong>Homebake<\/strong>, being a special one-off combined Anniversary Edition as we unite <strong>Homebake<\/strong>&#8216;s 18th birthday with the 40th anniversary of the landmark Australian icon, the <strong>Sydney Opera House<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">\nConsidering the united milestone events, we here at Homebake HQ have been plotting and planning away to present a unique 3 day edition, themed in a style representing each of the <strong>Homebake<\/strong> main stages per day, and all taking place at the location with the greatest view the Southern Hemisphere has to offer &#8211; the <strong>Sydney Opera House<\/strong> Forecourt (and surrounding areas). With this one off move from the wide spread grounds of The Domain, we&#8217;re scaling back the size to the stunning and intimate harbour side forecourt however scaling up for three days of music, comedy, activities, amazing bars, markets and great food. Keeping things cosy, we&#8217;re giving our audience a more &#8216;up close &amp; personal&#8217; experience this year however don&#8217;t fear as we&#8217;re spreading the invite list for this huge double birthday celebration, just this one time, over three glorious summer afternoons and evenings this coming <strong>Friday 6 December, Saturday 7 December and Sunday 8 December<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><strong>Sydney Opera House<\/strong> Chief Executive, Louise Herron, said today <em>\u201cMichael Chugg was behind one of the first concerts on the Forecourt, the 2SM Concert of the Decade, featuring Stevie Wright, Skyhooks, Richard Clapton and Split Enz. <\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><em>\u201cOur 40th Anniversary is all about drawing on our heritage, as we launch into the future and the next generation of artists, audiences and visitors to the Opera House.\u00a0 So it is wonderful to be welcoming Michael Chugg and Homebake onto the Forecourt as part of our celebrations.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Chugg Entertainment Executive Chairman and Homebake Co-Promoter Michael Chugg added \u201c<em>The Sydney Opera House forecourt is a special place to me. Scoring a plethora of accolades, Paul was awarded the honour of being inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame in 1997.\u00a0 <strong>PAUL KELLY<\/strong>\u2019s latest long player <em>Spring And Fall, <\/em>a song cycle that tells a love story from multiple points of view was released late last year. A way for Skubiszewski to deliver the kind of good time and affecting musical moments that sound suspiciously like instant radio and festival classics.
