What transpired over the next two and a half hours was a stunning musical exhibition that displayed all of Wilson\u2019s talents, and then some.<\/em>\u2019 Guitar World<\/p>\n

Regarded as a visionary and one of the driving forces behind the modern progressive rock \/ metal movement, Steven Wilson<\/strong>, the man who created Porcupine Tree<\/strong>, is an eclectic and prolific artist. Witnessing a Steven Wilson live performance is to be engulfed by mind-bending visuals and a bombastic aural surroundscape leaving audiences captivated and breathlessly longing for more.<\/p>\n

Steven Wilson has a long list of accomplishments including performer with Blackfield<\/strong>, No-Man<\/strong>, Storm Corrosion<\/strong> (with Opeth<\/strong>\u2019s Mikael \u00c5kerfeldt), Bass Communion<\/strong> and of course Porcupine Tree<\/strong>. On top of that, producer and mixer credits for Opeth<\/strong>, OSI<\/strong>, Fish<\/strong>, Orphaned Land<\/strong>, Ian Anderson<\/strong>, Marillion<\/strong>, Anathema<\/strong>; and surround re-mix for King Crimson<\/strong> (8 albums), XTC<\/strong>, Jethro Tull<\/strong>, Caravan<\/strong>, Emerson Lake<\/strong> & Palmer<\/strong>, Hawkwind<\/strong>, Yes<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The performances on the coming tour will primarily be comprised of material from Wilson\u2019s acclaimed latest album \u2013\u2018The Raven That Refused To Sing<\/strong> (And Other Stories)\u2019 plus selections from previous albums \u2018Grace For Drowning\u2019<\/strong> and \u2018Insurgentes<\/strong>\u2019. Accompanying Wilson will be a collective of world class calibre musicians (Guthrie Govan<\/strong> – lead guitar, Adam Holzman<\/strong> – keyboards, Theo Travis<\/strong> \u2013 flute & saxophone, Nick Beggs<\/strong> – bass guitar & Chapman Stick, Chad Wackerman<\/strong> – drums), and the sound in the room will be delivered in four channel surround<\/strong> with isolated instruments bursting from every corner of the room \u2013 something no-one has attempted since Pink Floyd\u2019s<\/strong> heyday.
