\"\"<\/a>Blue Oyster Cult<\/strong>\u00a0may\u00a0be the ultimate \u2018cult\u2019 band. Revered by punks, metal heads, sci-fi geeks and horror movie fans alike, B.O.C. have carved out a 40-year career via a string of complex hard rock albums and killer live shows. The author Steven King adores them and so does Dave Graney. Their best known track\u00a0Don\u2019t Fear The Reaper<\/em>, was a U.S. top twenty hit in 1976 and the album it came from,\u00a0Agents Of Fortune<\/strong>\u00a0(featuring a collaboration with songstress\u00a0Patti Smith<\/strong>) achieved platinum status while their overall catalogue sales are in excess of 24 million. They also provided\u00a0Radio Birdman<\/strong>\u00a0with the album title\u00a0Radios Appear<\/strong>, a lyric taken from the track\u00a0Dominance and Submission<\/em>\u00a0from the Blue Oyster Cult album\u00a0Secret Treaties<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Most recently B.O.C. have released\u00a0The Complete Columbia Albums Collection<\/strong>, a 16 CD\/ 1 DVD box set comprising all their studio albums from 1972 – 1988; three live albums; a rarities disc and the appropriately named radio broadcast collection:\u00a0Radios Appear<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The live albums, starting with 1975\u2019s On Your Feet or On Your Knees, clearly demonstrate B\u00d6C\u2019s strength as a live act; they\u2019re a bracingly powerful band, the rock solid support of the rhythm-bass-drums embellished by Buck Dharma\u2019s stinging guitar leads.<\/em><\/p>\n

Already announced as a co-headliners at the\u00a02013 Dig It Up!<\/strong>\u00a0Feel are now proud to announce headline shows for\u00a0Blue Oyster Cult<\/strong>\u00a0in Sydney & Melbourne. For the these two special performances, B.O.C. will perform the entire show, no support – like wow!<\/p>\n

This will be the first-ever Australian tour for\u00a0Blue Oyster Cult<\/strong>\u00a0and it\u2019s all thanks to\u00a0Hoodoo Gurus.<\/strong><\/p>\n
