Multi-platinum Grammy-nominated Island Records group Fall Out Boy<\/strong> finally puts an end to years of rumors and speculation, with the official announcement today from their hometown of Chicago that the band has returned and will globally launch their new single – \u201cMy Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)”-<\/strong> today at iTunes HERE<\/a>.\u00a0 They commemorated the occasion at the site of the original Comiskey Park, the location of Disco Demolition Night in 1979, as they were burning albums.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)\u201d<\/strong> is the first single from Fall Out Boy<\/strong>\u2019s new album, SAVE ROCK AND ROLL<\/span><\/em><\/strong>, which will be released in Australia on May 3. Australia will be releasing 4 days ahead of the rest of the world, who will be releasing on May 6th<\/sup>\/7th<\/sup>, the 10th anniversary of Fall Out Boy<\/strong>\u2019s first full length studio album in 2003, Take This To Your Grave<\/span><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

In conjunction with today\u2019s news, Fall Out Boy<\/strong> will play three intimate one-night-only club dates for their fans this week, starting tonight in Chicago (Subterranean), tomorrow night in New York City (Webster Hall Studio),\u00a0and Los Angeles (Roxy) on Thursday night (February 7th).\u00a0The band will be touring the US in May.<\/p>\n

SAVE ROCK AND ROLL<\/span><\/em><\/strong> is Fall Out Boy<\/strong>\u2019s fifth studio album, and is their first new studio album since Folie \u00c1 Deux<\/span><\/em><\/strong> in December 2008.<\/p>\n

Hailing from the Chicago, Fall Out Boy<\/strong> – Patrick Stump<\/strong> (vocals\/guitar), Pete Wentz<\/strong> (bass), Joe Trohman<\/strong> (guitar), and Andy Hurley<\/strong> (drums) – have appeared on the covers of Rolling Stone<\/em>, Spin<\/em>, Blender<\/em>, and Alternative Press<\/em>, among others. \u00a0They have performed on NBC\u2019s Saturday Night Live<\/em>, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno<\/em>, Late Night with Conan O\u2019Brien<\/em>, CBS\u2019s The Late Show with David Letterman<\/em>, ABC\u2019s Jimmy Kimmel Live<\/em>, and many more.\u00a0 In addition to their Grammy nod, they have won three MTV Video Music Awards.<\/p>\n
