Silverstein<\/strong> <\/strong><\/span>have announced February 8 release of their seventh studio album, entitled The Is How The Wind <\/em>Shifts <\/strong>out on Roadrunner Records.<\/p>\n

Active for over 12 years, the JUNO nominated band has written and recorded 79 original songs, released 5 LP\u2019s, 3 EP\u2019s, 1 mini-album and have performed over 1500 shows in 34 countries around the world.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe idea of this album is how a person\u2019s life can change forever with just one event.\u00a0 It is the \u201cwhat if\u201d that everyone thinks about from time to time.\u00a0 This album is different from a typical start to finish story concept album, or an album where all the songs have a common theme.\u00a0 Each track has a parallel track that tells the story in a different light, what would have happened if things were different due to a single event.\u00a0 The song titles of each parallel track go together, forming a sentence or in some cases two words that relate to each other and to the story.\u00a0 Overall, the point of this album is not to prove the existence of fate, or to disprove it. It\u2019s a discussion of life, of loss, of trial and error, of success within failure, of failure within success, of the struggle between your actions and your feelings, and how those don\u2019t always go together. This Is How The Wind Shifts is a journey that jumps around but stays cohesive, with underlying meaning and stories that have a real human meaning and cater to the soul.\u201d<\/em> \u2013 Vocalist Shane Told<\/p>\n

SILVERSTEIN AND ISSUES AUSTRALIAN TOUR ANNOUNCED<\/strong><\/p>\n

There will be no time to rest for Silverstein <\/em><\/strong>as they return to Australia this April to unveil their seventh studio album This Is How The Wind Shifts <\/em><\/strong>(Roadrunner Records).<\/p>\n

Formed in 2000 in Burlington, ON Canada, Silverstein<\/em><\/strong> has become as close to a household name as you can get in the post-hardcore scene. Having played more than 1500 shows in 34 countries Silverstein<\/em><\/strong> have been a staple on many festivals and tours. Which have included the likes of Vans Warped Tour, Take Action!, Taste of Chaos, Rock Am Ring (Germany), Soundwave, Give it a Name (UK), and also co-founded the Scream It Like You Mean It tour in 2010.<\/p>\n

Coming off their successful Rescue<\/em><\/strong> tour in Australia last June Silverstein<\/em><\/strong> played to three out of five sold out ticketed shows, presenting to the fans tracks from both the critically acclaimed long player Rescue<\/em><\/strong> and \u2018mini album\u2019 Short Songs<\/em><\/strong>. The new full-length This Is How The Wind Shifts <\/em><\/strong>will take the fans on a journey on how a person\u2019s life can change forever with just one event. \u201cThe idea of this album is how a persons life can change forever with just one event.\u00a0 It is the \u201cwhat if\u201d that everyone thinks about from time to time.\u00a0 This album is different from a typical start to finish story concept album, or an album where all the songs have a common theme.\u201d<\/em>\u00a0 Says vocalist Shane Told. After 5 full-length albums, 3 EP\u2019s, a live album, mini album, and numerous 7\u201d singles and collections, Silverstein<\/em><\/strong> have sold more than 1 million albums worldwide and have no intentions of slowing down.<\/p>\n

Joining Silverstein<\/em><\/strong> on the road are highly anticipated Atlanta six piece Issues. <\/em><\/strong>Having just released their debut EP Black Diamonds<\/em><\/strong> the audience should expect a raw and honest performance that they can directly relate to. \u2018We are all Black Diamonds in the rough.
